NWS To Kick Off 2009 With Double-Shot Weekend 1/23-1/24 Featuring 2009 J-Cup Tag-Team Tournament, Former WWE "Oddities" member Giant Silva & More
The northeast's favorite pro wrestling promotion, National Wrestling Superstars, will hit the ground running in the new year with a double-shot weekend January 23rd-24th, and this will be anything but an ordinary weekend to be sure.
Friday night January 23rd, NWS returns to the Sayreville, NJ Knights of Columbus Hall, 775 Washington Road (minutes from Route 9 & the Parkway), with all the action getting under way at 7:45pm. This show will feature, for the third year in a row, the return of the annual J-Cup Tag-Team Tournament, featuring eight of the best teams on the East Coast including last year's winners The Gemini Twins, the heavy-hitting tag-team of Josh Daniels & Damian Adams, and former adversaries, now teammates, Rob Eckos & Nicky Oceans. Also on show will be former WWE "Oddities" member the seven-foot-five Brazilian monster The Giant Silva. That alone will be worth the price of admission, which by the way will be only $19 for adults and $17 for kids & seniors.
Saturday night January 24th, NWS heads north to its popular Bergen County, NJ venue, the the Ridgefield Park Knights of Columbus Hall, 106 Bergen Avenue (minutes from Routes 46, 80 & the NJ Turnpike), with all the action getting under way at 7:35pm. Along with an encore appearance by The Giant Silva, the show will feature NWS' first ever "Tag-O-Mania", which will feature tag teams, tag teams, and more tag teams, including the tag-team comprised of fan favorites Nikko The Monkey Man and his partner the high-flying Mikey Pacifica. Plus there will be a six-man tag battle featuring three high-flying Mexican wrestlers known as Los Luchadoras.All this plus a whole lot more, and with tickets only $18 for adults and $15 for kids & seniors.
