NWS Results From Belleville, NJ 11/6: Former WWE Star Giant Silva & Vicious Vinny & The Former ECW Zombie Vs. Danny Demanto & The Nigerian Nightmares In A Six-Man Main Event (With An Ending No One Could Have Predicted), Plus The Original WWE Diva Sunny, Brittney Savage & Much More
A near-capacity crowd of loud and excited pro wrestling fans filled the Belleville, NJ Knights of Columbus Hall on Friday night November 6th, as National Wrestling Superstars kicked off a double-shot weekend with a return to this perennial favorite north Jersey venue, with action that definitely heated up this chilly Friday night.
The original diva of the WWE, the lovely Sunny, was introduced as co-hostess for the evening.
In the opening contest, Tyson The Finger-Lickin' Chicken defeated "Mr. Entertainment" J.D. Smoothie. Despite Smoothie treating him as paltry (or is it poultry) opposition, Tyson stayed toe-to-toe with Smoothie and, with the crowd egging him on, managed to pluck a victory out of the veteran with a crucifix slam.
Before the next match, "The Cold-Hearted Playa" Danny Demanto came to the ring with his manager, Dubai's King Ran-sid Akhbar Idu Stinq, and NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans. Demanto talked about the thorn in his side, Vicious Vinny, and even though Vinny had found himself two very large partners, Demanto and his Nigerian Nightmares would destroy him once and for all tonight.
In his first title defense, NWS Cruiserweight Champion Jumping Joey Janella, with manager King Ran-sid Akhbar Idu Stinq, retained his title against "Too Hot" Steve Scott. Scott has been making inroads in the NWS cruiserweight division in 2009, and proved he was worthy of a title shot as he took the fight to Janella. But as with winning the title the previous week, Janella used outside interference to retain the title in the form of Nicky Oceans who, after Scott had hit Janella with a reverse Thesz press, ran into the ring and leveled Scott with a superkick while King Stinq had the referee distracted. The referee turned around none the wiser and saw Janella covering Scott and made the three-count. Scott seized the microphone and said he was tired of Nicky Oceans constantly interfering in his matches and wanted a one-on-one match with him. NWS Commissioner Gino Moore said that he could not oblige him tonight, but the following night in Dunellen, NJ, Scott would have another shot at the Cruiserweight Title in a Triple-Threat Match against Janella and Chikara star Frightmare.
In a tag-team match, Los Luchadoros (Manuel Manny Moore & Luchador #1) defeated NWS Heavyweight Champion "Corrupted" Corey Havoc & The Soul Assassin. This was a close battle but in the end Moore and Luchador #1 out-flew their opponents, and in the end Luchador endured a DDT from The Soul Assassin and reversed the rollup into a pin of his own and got the 1-2-3.
During intermission, Sunny called WSU star Brittney Savage into the ring and congratulated her on making her first appearance on WWE Smackdown TV, which was airing that same evening, in a match against Beth Phoenix.
In a Non-Title Triple-Threat Elimination Match, NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans defeated NWS Tag-Team champion Corvis Fear & Pastor George. It was announced that the winner of the match would compete in a second match that evening against an opponent of NWS management's choosing, and would earn a bonus payday for wrestling that match. The match started with Corvis and the Pastor double-teaming Oceans, and it looked like the Junior Heavyweight champion's night would end early, but Corvis actually took advantage of a miscue between him and Pastor George to clothesline, pin, and eliminate the Pastor. Oceans and Corvis battled furiously one-on-one, and eventually Corvis blocked Ocean's Enziguri attempt and leveled Oceans with a crucifix slam. As Corvis went up to the top rope to finish off Oceans, Danny Demanto ran out to the ring and knocked Corvis off the top rope right into an Oceans superkick, which was followed up by a 1-2-3.
The ring announcer announced that Ocean's bonus match would begin immediately, and his opponent would be... Brittney Savage! Demanto was furious at his former protege for challenging his friend, and Oceans made remarks to the effect that Brittney had no business being in the ring. Brittney had no intention of backing down, and Sunny came to the ring to support Brittney.
Brittney Savage defeated "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans (with Danny Demanto). Brittney proved herself worthy of her WWE Smackdown shot, as she used her quickness to befuddle Oceans, and Oceans used some outside interference from Demanto to press his advantage. But after Brittney hit Oceans with a Tornado DDT and had him covered for the pin, Demanto distracted the referee while Oceans brought a chair into the ring and took out the referee with it. Demanto jumped into the ring, seized Brittney, and told Oceans to superkick her into oblivion. Oceans fired off a superkick, but Brittney ducked out of the way and Demanto was leveled instead. Brittney then hit a Diamond Cutter on Oceans, and Sunny ran into the ring wearing a referee shirt (she apparently was atill a licensed NWS referee) and made the three-count for Brittney.
The Main Event six-man tag-team Grudge Match between former WWE star The Giant Silva & the former ECW Zombie (subbing for the MIA Fake Ultimate Warrior - see note below) & Vicious Vinny (with Jersey City police officer Ace) vs. "The Cold-Hearted Playa" Danny Demanto & The Nigerian Nightmares (with manager "Voodoo Princess" Sheeta & advisor King Ran-sid Akhbar Idu Stinq) ended in a double-disqualification. The match began with Demanto tagging out when Vinny wanted to start for his team, but tagging back in when The Zombie ended up starting the match. Vinny tagged back in and battled both Nightmares as he tried to get his hands on rival Demanto. Vinny endured the poundings from the Nightmares, but when they missed a Nigerian Sandwich attempt, Vinny powerslammed the larger of the Nightmares, and lifted up the other onto his shoulders and delivered a thundering F-U which brought the crowd to its feet. Vinny tagged in Giant Silva who cleaned house on Demanto and both Nightmares along with The Zombie. Eventually, Silva and Zombie and The Nightmares spilled out to the floor and took their fight to the back, leaving Vinny standing over Demanto in the ring. King Stinq jumped into the ring and tried to attack Vinny but was DDT'd for his efforts. Vinny invited his friend Officer Ace into the ring to deliver a People's Elbow on King Stinq, but as Ace readied the elbow drop, Vinny shocked everyone by clotheslining Officer Ace! He and Demanto then embraced and attacked Officer Ace two-on-one, with Vinny even holding down Ace for Demanto to deliver a flying splash. The referee ruled the match a double-disqualification.
As the boos rained down from the audience, Vinny seized the microphone and told NWS management he was sick and tired of being ignored and only used to sell seats in shows in his home town, and basically told his friends and fans that none of them had cared about him enough to visit him when he was injured and in the hospital, except one... his new tag-team partner Demanto. He said that Vicious Vinny was indeed dead, and he was now Vinny Vice, and that he and his partner, The Cold-Hearted Players, would dominate NWS from here on out. Demanto then introduced their new manager and financial backer... none other than original WWE diva Sunny, who was thrilled to be a part of the team, and told the boo'ing crowd that 2010 was going to be the start of a new era in NWS, as the show closed.
(Note from NWS Management: The Fake Ultimate Warrior, a.k.a One Warrior Nation, was once again a no-show for NWS, with no phone call or any other professional courtesy. Well, as the expression goes, fool us once, shame on you... fool us twice, shame on us. We strongly urge other promoters and promotions to stay clear of this delusional schmuck, as he lives in his own dream world, and to top it off, has absolutely no ring ability whatsoever. We say this only as he has been so unreliable in the past, and once you get past the fact that he shakes a mean rope a la the original Ultimate Warrior, it's all downhill from there. NWS management acknowledges that they should be beaten with a stick unmercifully for listening to others to give this pretty boy dickhead a second chance. Trust us, it won't happen again.)
NWS returns to action the following night (Saturday night November 7th) in Dunellen, NJ with encore appearances by former WWE star The Giant Silva and the original WWE diva Sunny. NWS then returns with another double-shot weekend beginning in Basking Ridge on Saturday November 14th, with a mega show headlined by former WWE superstars "El Matador" Tito Santana & Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake plus former ECW stars Julio Dinero & "Dastardly" Danny Doring and a WSU World Title match pitting "The Latina Sensation" Mercedes Martinez against former TNA Wrestling star Angelina Love. Then on Sunday afternoon November 15th, NWS heads south to Christiana, DE to team up with its Delaware affiliate FWF for their annual "Toys For Tots" benefit show featuring The World Famous TV Clown, The Nigerian Nightmares, and the stars of the FWF.
