National Wrestling Superstars Results from Neptune, NJ 8/18

National Wrestling Superstars concluded a very successful three-show weekend on Saturday night August 18th with an action-packed show at the Shark River Hills Firehouse Hall in Neptune, NJ. On a cool summer night, a hot Jersey Shore crowd came looking for hot pro wrestling action, and they got it.

Before the matches got underway, the *NEW* WSU Champion Alexa, who had defeated Alicia for the belt at NWS' show the previous night in Belleville, NJ, came out to the ring to tell the fans she was giving Alicia her return match later that evening in Neptune. However, Alicia herself could not wait, and stormed out of the locker room and demanded her rematch on the spot. When NWS officials told her she would have to wait until the official start of the match, Alicia attacked Alexa, powerbombed her, and left her laying in the ring.

NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "G.Q." Gavin Quest and Rhett Titus went to a fifteen-minute time-limit draw.
Rhett Titus has been a rising sensation in NWS in 2007, and on this night he had a chance at the NWS Junior Heavyweight Title, and certainly made the most of it, matching holds with the veteran Quest for the full fifteen minutes. Unfortunately, the time-limit expired before either man could achieve a pinfall. Both competitors shook hands in a show of mutual respect after the match.

Alicia regained the WSU Championship by defeating Alexa.
Alicia made the most of her return match opportunity, attacking an already bruised Alexa from the opening bell. Alexa fought bravely, worthy of her 2006 Women's J-Cup Championship, but the veteran Alicia held too much of an advantage, and after a powerbomb and superkick, she pinned Alexa 1-2-3 to regain the WSU Championship.

Corey Havoc & Slayer won by disqualification over Nicky Oceans & J.D. Smooth (w/ King Ran-sid Akhbar Idu Stinq & Danny Damanto).
Nicky Oceans' regular Psychedelic Sissies (or "Studs" as he insisted) were unavailable that night, so he enlisted Delaware loudmouth J.D. Smooth as his partner against local favorites Havoc & Slayer. All four men attacked each other before the bell even started, and the battle raged on nonstop. Demanto eventually got involved in the match, causing his team to be disqualified, but was chased out of the ring by Tito Santana, who has been battling Demanto all throughout the three-show series. Demanto claimed that Santana had taken out his original opponent, Johnny Candido, before tonight's match, and challenged him to one final showdown later that evening. Tito gladly accepted the challenge and the main event was set.

J.C. Rage defeated Hyena in a Shark River Street Fight.
The two combatants met in the third match in their Street Fight Series, and immediately tore into each other with all available weapons. In the end, Rage powerbombed Hyena through a table, then onto a garbage can, then pinned him 1-2-3 to take a 2-1 lead in the series.

Mikey Pacifica became the *NEW* NWS Cruiserweight Champion by defeating Dan Rageous.
Pacifica was the final wrestler that Dan defeated to win the Cruiserweight Tournament last month, and had been anxiously awaiting his chance at a rematch. The two battled back and forth for fifteen minutes until the time limit expired just as Pacifica was locking Dan in a crossface submission hold. Pacifica and the fans pleaded for the match to be extended for five more minutes, and Commissioner Gino Moore gave them their wish and the match resumed. This time Pacifica would not be denied, and after a back-and-forth series of roll-up pin attempts, was able to hold onto a pinfall long enough for a 1-2-3 count and became the new NWS Cruiserweight Champion.

Former WWE Intercontinental & Tag-Team Champion Tito Santana defeated Danny Demanto (w/ King Ran-sid Akhbar Idu Stinq).
This was the third meeting in three nights with Santana and Demanto on opposite sides. Demanto was determined that Santana would lose this time, but the WWE veteran had other plans, and once again resisted all of Demanto's and King Stinq's efforts, and eventually leveled Demanto with his Flying Burrito forearm and pinned him 1-2-3 to send the fans home happy.

NWS returns to action next Saturday night August 25th in Carteret, NJ, on the heels of the "Legends Of The Ring" convention that same day, with Dustin Runnels, Big Van Vader, Lex Luger, Traci Brooks, and many more stars headlining the show.
