….

National Wrestling Superstars put on another spectacular event at the Park Ridge Elks Lodge on Friday night, March 23. The wrestlers seemed to have their "A" game on for the fans who went away asking "can I get tickets for tomorrow's show in Ridgefield Park" (tonight at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 106 Bergen Avenue in Ridgefield Park).

The opening bout saw the return to NWS rings of Too Cocky Kevin Matthews. Matthews, accompanied to ringside by King I Du Stinq, Saddam Insane and Prince Camel-Toe, spent nearly 5 minutes telling the crowd how wonderful he was and that he issued an open challenge to anyone to meet him in the ring. He looked over the roster of the wrestlers in the locker room and laughed. When the ring announcer finally named his opponent, The Rogue, he laughed even more, wondering who (or what) that was. When The Rogue entered the ring, he used his walking stick against not only Matthews, but the Prince, the King and Insane. When order was finally restored, The Rogue seemed on the verge of beating Matthews, but Matthew's friends distracted the referee and it quickly became a two (or three) on one match with Insane and Camel-Toe hitting a 3-D on The Rogue, then Insane followed up with a big splash allowing Matthews to score the win.

The second bout of the evening saw another in a series of matches between Mikey Pacifica and J.D. Smooth. Smooth complained that Pacifica's win over him last month was a fluke and demanded that this match be contested in an "anything goes" type of match. NWS officials denied this request which only seemed to inspire Smooth as he pummeled Pacifica. When he thought he had the match won, Pacifica mounted a come-back and chopped Smooth across his chest and back. The come-back didn't last long as Smooth retaliated with chops of his own and attacked Pacifica with high-flying moves that enabled him to score the pinfall.

The third bout of the evening started out as a 4 way dance between Gavin Quest, Nicky Oceans, Deranged and Corvis Fear. When it became obvious that Oceans and Fear (collectively known as Team Supreme) were working together, Deranged and Quest decided to work together and it became an unannounced tag team match. This was the match of the night with all four wrestlers putting on a spectacular effort that had the crowd cheering all four combatants. The four battled inside and outside the ring (including several over the top rope dives that nearly hit the fans in the first row). After nearly 14 minutes, Team Supreme had Quest set up for the win before Deranged came off the top rope and hit a neck-breaker on Oceans to allow Quest to score the win.

Before the start of the next bout, the ring announcer plugged the Ridgefield Park event for Saturday and pointed out several "guests" in the building. Referee Sean Hanson, Captain Lou Albano and TNA's Jay Lethal.

The 4th bout of the evening was another tag team match pitting champions the Sychodellic Sissies (Ace Darling and Mr. Motion Shane Taylor) against Dublin Destroyer #1 and Joe Hardway. The Sissies made their way to the ring, but were upset because the wrong music played and they are called the Studs not the Sissies. Darling and Motion grabbed Commissioner's Moore's bag of Philly Pretzel's, broke off pieces and threw them at him and said "no do it right dummy". They went back into the curtain and the correct music was played.  Then they had another announcement. They were invoking their rights to defend the titles only once in 30 days and this would be a non-title match. Maybe someone should have told this to Hardway and the Destroyer as they were going all out to defeat the tag champs. Darling and Motion spent a lot of time outside the ring trying to re-group and it seemed to work as once back in the ring, they showed why they are the champions and defeated their opponents 1-2-3.

NWS presented a special girls bout with Alicia taking on Alere Little Feather with special guest referee Roxxy Cotton. This, the 5th bout of the night, saw Alicia work on Little Feather's neck for much of the match and Little Feather attacking Alicia's legs. After 7 minutes, Little Feather scored the pin, but Alicia claimed that the referee was partial and went to the Commissioner's desk to complain about incompetent officiating. The Commissioner set up a return bout for the Ridgefield Park show, making it a 3 way between Alicia, Little Feather and Roxxy. While Little Feather and Roxxy had their attention towards the commissioner, the Baghdad Bullies attacked them and Insane gave Little Feather a big splash before The Patriot made the save. King I Du Stinq laughed at The Patriot telling him that he had no partner. The Patriot said he would take on the Bullies in a handicap match, but NWS officials told him he had to find a partner. Out came The Rogue, still hurting from the opening contest and told NWS officials and The Patriot that what happened to him earlier was a travesty of justice and wanted revenge. The Patriot and The Rogue shook hands and the main event was made.

After intermission, fans were treated to an un-announced bout as Ohio Valley's Damian Adams took on Bandido, Jr. Fans at first cheered Adams until he told them "I don't need you, I'm a future superstar and will be working buildings like Madison Square Garden, the Staples Center and other big buildings around the world. I shouldn't even be here". When NWS officials showed he signed a contract last year, he was told he had to fulfill his obligations. Then when Bandido, Jr. came to the ring, he said "ok, let's make this quick". Bandido had other things in mind and attacked the "future star", and told him "stop making this about you, this is about the fans", which brought out the biggest cheer of the night from the crowd.  Both wrestlers put on a great effort, but Adams used his experience and cunningness to score the win over Bandido.

The main event saw The New Baghdad Bullies (Saddam Insane and Prince Camel Toe) take on The Patriot and The Rogue. Before the match King I Du Stinq try to get a date for Insane, telling female fans he was voted Iraq's most eligible bachelor and he wanted to invite all the ladies in attendance to meet him after the show to see if they were worthy of consideration. Once the match got underway, it was totally The Patriot and Rogue who seemed bent on destroying the New Bullies. The Prince was nowhere near the size of Evil TNT (who reportedly went on a mission TNA country to find more members to add to the Bullies squad). The Patriot gave Insane a wedgie that gave everyone in the first three rows a view that they'll soon hope to forget. The end came with The Rogue hitting a neckbreaker over the Prince for the win. But the fun wasn't over yet as The Rogue and The Patriot gave the King a wedgie that had the fans totally disgusted.

On a side note, just like in baseball, sometimes players get cut from the roster and NWS officials did just that yesterday wishing former heavyweight champion Vicious Vinny and current heavyweight champion Ali, the Dark Patriot, good luck in future endeavors.
