NWS Seaside Heights, NJ 8/21 Results: Former WWE'ers The Patriot & Salvatore Sincere, Z-Barr, Rhett Titus, Angel Orsini & Others

National Wrestling Superstars wrapped up its "Shore Wars 2008" Summer series at Seaside Heights, NJ's Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Parish Hall on Thursday night August 21st. A light but energetic crowd of 100+ saw NWS heat up a cool summer night with some hot in-ring action.

Corey Havoc defeated B. Fehrm. This bonus opening bout saw Havoc make fun of Fehrm's youthful appearance, but then regret his decision as the smaller Fehrm gave the Bayshore area brawler all he could handle, until Havoc caught Fehrm in an overhead slam and pinned him for the 1-2-3.

Mikey Pacifica defeated Jumping Joey Janella (with Z-Barr). Janella, normally a fan favorite, was heartily boo'ed as he came out with the despised Frenchman Z-Barr, who proclaimed Janella as his new protégé, and proceeded to put down everything American. The one thing he and Janella couldn't put down was Pacifica himself, who battled toe-to-toe with with fellow high-flier Janella, and pinned Janella with a somersault slam. After the match, former WWE star Salvatore Sincere & J.D. Smoothie, who were scheduled to face Pacifica & the former ECW Zombie in Neptune, NJ the next night, attacked Pacifica in the ring to try and take him out before that match. After they tossed out a Security team member who tried to stop them, Commissioner Moore got on the mic and threatened to permanently fire Sal if he didn't leave the building immediately.

In a non-title match, Portia Perez upset WSU Champion (and former ECW Women's Champion) Angel Orsini. The feisty Perez took the fight to Angel, who had clearly underestimated her opponent. Perez reversed a facebuster slam attempt and rolled up Angel for the 1-2-3. An incensed Angel took the mic and assured the crowd that when she and Portia met for the WSU Championship on Saturday in Belleville, NJ, the outcome would be very different.

NWS Jersey Shore Champion Rhett "The Threat" Titus retained his title by disqualification against former champion Nicky Oceans (with Z-Barr). This was Oceans' return match after losing the title to Titus back in May, and he took the fight to Titus, aided by some timely outside interference by manager Z-Barr. After a pitched battle in and out of the ring, Titus hit a Famous'er on Oceans, but as the referee was counting what was sure to be a 1-2-3, Z-Barr pulled him out of the ring, and attacked Titus himself, prompting the referee to call for the disqualification. Oceans' friends J.D. Smoothie & A.C. Kewl joined in the attack on Titus, until former WWE star The Patriot ran in from the back to make the save. Commissioner Gino Moore announced that Z-Barr would be making the transition from manager to wrestler and would be facing The Patriot tonight in the main event, where the loser would have to recite the winner's country's Pledge Of Allegiance.

Antonio Malave & "Ice-Fire" Steve Zapf defeated NWS Cruiserweight Champion J.D. Smoothie & A.C. Kewl. The four men fought all over the building, but the feisty luchador Malave won the day, as he hit Smoothie with a 619 followed by a Rock Bottom and pinned him 1-2-3. An incensed A.C. Kewl decked his losing tag-team partner and walked away in disgust. Commissioner Moore got on the mic with Kewl, and announced that Kewl & Smoothie would meet in a one-on-one grudge match at NWS' next Ocean County show on October 4th in Brick, NJ.

Former WWE & WCW superstar "America's Hero" The Patriot defeated Z-Barr. After reluctantly entering the ring, Z-Barr, who was making his first wrestling appearance with NWS in quite some time, surprised The Patriot and the crowd with some tremendous offense against the veteran Patriot. The fight was all over the building, and at one point the two even brawled out in the parking lot for a few minutes. In the end, after Z-Barr's attempt to hit Patriot with the French flag was foiled by the referee, Patriot hit Z-Barr with two successive chokeslams and pinned him 1-2-3. Z-Barr initially refused to honor the stipulations of the match & recite the American Pledge of Allegiance (and even tried to bribe his way out of it), but after some physical persuasion by The Patriot he uttered the first line, and was promptly knocked out by The Patriot who waved the American Flag over him in triumph, sending the crowd home happy.

NWS returns to action with two combined NWS/Womens Superstars Uncensored shows Friday night August 22nd at the Shark River Hills Firehouse Hall in Neptune, NJ, and Saturday night August 23rd at the Knights Of Columbus Hall in Belleville, NJ.
