NWS Returns To Woodbridge, NJ This Friday 2/19 With 2009 Captain Lou Albano Memorial J-Cup Tag-Team Tournament, With The Nigerian Nighmares, The Cold-Hearted Playas, Team Commando & More, Plus Former WWE Star The Giant Silva

After far too long an absence, all-star pro wrestling returns to the Woodbridge, NJ Elks Lodge (665 Rahway Avenue, minutes from the Parkway and Turnpike and Routes 1 & 9) this coming Friday night February 19th at 7:45pm, as the Northeast's busiest and most popular wrestling promotion, National Wrestling Superstars, presents a special night of wrestling action.

And wrestling returns in a really big way, as Woodbridge will play host to the 2010 J-Cup Tag-Team Tournament, a one-night single-elimination tournament featuring eight of the biggest and best tag-teams on the independent circuit today. And this year's tournament is particularly special, as NWS will re-christen the event as the Captain Lou Albano Memorial Tag-Team Tournament, in honor of the late great WWE Hall of Fame Manager and TV & movie & music video star, Captain Lou Albano, who was a good friend of NWS these past many years.

Captain Lou gained his greatest fame in the WWE managing championship tag-teams, and we are sure he would be proud of the lineup vying for this year's J-Cup trophy. Topping the list is perhaps the most feared tag-team in the entire Northeast, the 800+ pound undefeated team known as The Nigerian Nightmares. This team has been cutting an unstoppable path of destruction, and it would be fair to say that they are literally the heavy favorites in this tournament.

But their road to victory will by no means be easy, as the roster is full of other teams who may not be able to match their size and ferocity, but certainly in skill and experience, such as Team Commando (former WWE developmental protege "Too Cocky" Kevin Matthews & NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans), BS Express, who were trained by TNA star Jay Lethal, central Jersey rising stars The Jock Mafia (Mike Dennis & Chris D'Andrea), and The Cold-Hearted Playas (Danny Demanto & Vicious Vinny), just to name a few.

And as an added bonus, Woodbridge will witness its first ever "Gullivers Travels" Match, where the 7-foot-plus former WWE Oddities member The Giant Silva will battle four men at once, plus their manager "Mr. Entertainment" J.D. Smoothie, who will try to pin Silva's titanic body inside a giant fishnet. This spectacle has to be seen to be believed.

Ticket prices are only $18 for adults and $16 for kids and seniors, and are available by calling the NWS box office at (732) 888-1704. All major charge cards are accepted, and group rates are available for groups of ten or more. Remaining seats, if any, will go on sale at the door one hour before bell time.
