NWS Says Farewell To Retiring Captain Lou Albano As Part Of Two-Show Bill This Weekend May 16th-17th, Plus Nikolai Volkoff, Former ECW'ers Spike Dudley & Danny Doring & Julio Dinero & More

This weekend will be yet another multi-show weekend in the month of May for National Wrestling Superstars, as they hit central Jersey for a pair of mega shows Friday & Saturday nights May 16th-17th.

Friday night May 16th at 7:45pm, NWS returns to the Kenilworth Veterans Center at 33 South 21st Street (just off The Boulevard & seconds from the Parkway). Topping the bill will be a veteran of both WWE and ECW television, Matt Hyson, better known to the fans as Spike Dudley, who will preside over what has become a specialty of the Dudley family, a Loser Goes Through A Table Match. Joining Spike will be other ECW originals in the likes of The Blue Meanie, one-time ECW tag-team champion Danny Morrison (a.k.a "Dastardly" Danny Doring), Julio Dinero, and The Equalizer, who will tangle with Kenilworth's Nick Gregory in a special grudge match.

Also having ring time will be locat star Ryan Angus, who will get his first taste of NWS action, plus the popular high-flyer Mikey Pacifica, luchador Antonio Malave, NWS Jersey Shore Champion Nicky Oceans, plus much more on hand in Kenilworth.

Saturday night May 17th, NWS presents live pro wrestling outdoors and under the stars at Jackson, NJ's Central Jersey Italian-American Club Showgrounds, 36 Corporal Luigi Marciante Junior Memorial Drive (formerly Christopher Columbus Blvd), with an 8:00pm bell time (rain date is the following night May 18th at 7:00pm). Many wrestling dignitaries will be in attendance to bid adieu to Captain Lou Albano, who will be saying a final farewel to all his wrestling fans this Saturday night, at no more fitting a place. After more than six decades, the Captain has decided to hang up his wrestling gear. Captain Lou started as a pro wrestler for many years, including being one-half of the famous championship tag-team known as The Sicilians back in his day. Lou then went on to even greater stardom in the world of pro wrestling, becoming known as the "Manager of Champions", and was catapulted to roles in movies, TV, music videos, and the character in the globally famous Mario Brothers video game.

The Captain will be on hand with another WWE tag-team legend in Nikolai Volkoff, former ECW stars Matt Hyson (a.k.a Spike Dudley), Julio Dinero, and The Blue Meanie, plus The World Famous Wrestling Clown, and local standouts such as NWS Jersey Shore Champion Nicky Oceans, Mighty Mikey Pacifica, and luchador Antonio Malave.

Tickets for both events are a very affordable $17 for adults and $15 for kids under 12 and seniors, and can be purchased by calling NWS at (732) 888-1704. All major credit cards are accepted, and group rates are available for groups of ten or more. Remaining seats, if any, will go on sale at the door one hour before bell time.
