OFFICIAL TNA “IMPACT!” RESULTS
Saturday, November 12, 2005 – Orlando, FL
By: Marcus Cygy

We are less than 24-hours away from TNA going live with “Genesis” on pay-per-view as iMPACT! started off tonight with footage shown last week on iMPACT! where Petey Williams defeated Matt Bentley and Chris Sabin in the Ultimate X to gain at shot at AJ Styles at Genesis for the X-Division Title, as well as Jeff Jarrett regaining the NWA World Heavyweight Title from Rhino. We were then brought to ringside.

“The Alpha Male” Monty Brown made his way down to the ring with a microphone in hand as he faces Jeff Hardy tomorrow at Genesis in a Number One Contenders Match. Monty Brown first welcomed everyone to the Serengeti as he then put himself over by proclaiming himself to be the number one male in TNA. He went on to congratulate Jeff Jarrett on winning his title. Monty warned Jarrett that he would soon feel the Pounce… period.

James Mitchell then made his way down with microphone in hand as Abyss accompanied him. Mitchell exclaimed that Monty Brown whines too much for a holder of two Super Bowl rings. However, he then said he was a world-class leader, but he then told Monty that there is one man more deserving of a World Heavyweight Title shot and that it’s the weapon of mass destruction, “The Monster” Abyss. Mitchell then told Abyss to go get Monty. At this time, Jeff Hardy’s music hit the air as he made his way down to the ring. As soon as he got in, both Abyss and Monty went to work on Hardy with the double team. Hardy initially fought back however, the numbers game was a factor right away. As Monty Brown threw Hardy out, Abyss and Monty then went against each other. They were then both hit by a duel drop kick from the top by Hardy as security then came in to separate the three.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

We were back as a video was shown featuring a preview of the upcoming Elimination X match tomorrow at Genesis, live and exclusively on pay-per-view!

”THE SAMOAN SUBMISSION MACHINE” SAMOA JOE vs. AUSTIN ARIES
Samoa Joe went straight to work with multiple boots to the head of Austin Aries in the corner. Christopher Daniels was on commentary saying that he has no doubts in Samoa Joe. He said that Joe realizes that he is the man with the experience. At this time, Austin Aries gained some offense in the corner with a high drop kick to the head. Austin then tried to Irish Whip the Samoan Submission Machine, but that wasn’t going to work, Joe then later gave a big boot shot right through Austin’s head literally. Joe then went down to work on a sleeper hold on Aries, to where Aries then later hit a Crucifix Drop that had the fans chanting TNA. Aries then attempted a vertical suplex, but that backfired on him as Samoa Joe brought Aries up for the Muscle Buster followed by the Rear Naked Choke for the submission victory, as he remains unbeaten in TNA.

Winner: Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe eyed down Christopher Daniels after the match who was at ringside commentary with Mike Tenay and Don West.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

We were back as Scott D’Amore was backstage with Larry Zbyszko. Scott D’Amore wanted a Hockey Stick on a Pole match for Genesis with Team Canada vs. 3Live Kru. Larry Zbyszko gladly accepted as he also named Kip James the special guest referee for the match.

KIP JAMES vs. LEX LOVETT
The following match was Kip’s in-ring SpikeTV debut as he went right on the attack from the get-go with a couple of right hands. Lex Lovett however pulled out a couple moves of his own and got a 2-count. Kip though caught Lovett in his arms and gave a back breaker, and then a went a step further by wrapping his arms around Lovett as he took him straight up and back down onto his back. Kip James got the 3-count pinfall.

Winner: Kip James

Team Canada then made their way down to the ring with hockey sticks to attack Kip James. It was then the 3Live Kru that took out Team Canada before they could go attack Kip. Ron Killings and BG James then celebrated in the ring with their referee for this Sunday, Kip James as Konnan looked on from the outside. Konnan appeared to not be very fond of this move by BG and Ron “The Truth” Killings.

FINISHER vs. FINISHER MATCH:
“THE CANADIAN DESTROYER” PETEY WILLIAMS vs. “THE PHENOMENAL” AJ STYLES
The following bout was a preview for their match tomorrow at Genesis with the X-Division Championship on the line. The rules were this match were simple, the first person to hit their finisher would win the match. In the opening minutes of this match, Petey tried hitting his Canadian Destroyer right off the bat, but AJ countered. He then later hit a beautiful technically sound drop kick, as he was ready to take charge. Scott D’Amore then broke that momentum with his distraction. Petey Williams then went back on offense as he had AJ Style caught in the corner. He brought him back up after stomping him down, AJ attempted an step-up kick to the head, but instead he hit the Pelè. Later on, Petey hit the Russian Leg Sweep followed by a stiff double kick drop to the head of AJ. Moments later, AJ attempted a Styles Clash as Petey then held the ropes. AJ who still had Petey upside down ready to hit the Clash started kicking Petey to release him from the ropes. Petey then held the referee as he was then brought down. A momentary distraction by Scott D’Amore then had Petey Williams take advantage by hitting AJ with the X-Division belt and then hitting The Canadian Destroyer as the referee gained back consciousness, thus giving the win to Petey Williams.

Winner: Petey Williams

The Morphoplex Move Of The Night was The Canadian Destroyer for the second straight week in a row as Petey Williams hit it on AJ Styles this week.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

A video package was shown highlighting the history of the NWA World Heavyweight Title. A title that can be traced back over a century ago with titleholder, George Hackenschmidt.

We were then taken back with Zbyszko face to face with Raven. Zbyszko said he could not fire Raven so he is going to book him however he wants starting tomorrow at Genesis. He also gave Raven release forms for him to sign so he could leave in peace; however, Raven chose otherwise.

MAIN EVENT:
JEFF JARRETT & AMERICA’S MOST WANTED vs. CHRIS SABIN, LANCE HOYT, & JEFF HARDY
Chris Sabin and James Storm started this match from their respective teams. Storm went for the kick to Sabin instead of locking arms, but Sabin was able to twist and turn all around James Storm and take him down as he tagged in Lance Hoyt. Storm however crawled over to Harris and tagged him in. The two were now in a battle against power. Harris turned things over though to Jeff Jarrett, the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Hoyt gave a hard elbow to Jarrett and tagged in Jeff Hardy as Hardy now took all members of the Jarrett alliance down. The fans were now chanting “Let’s Go Hardy” as Harris was now in control. Harris and Storm used their tag team tactics like they do best with the quick tags and offensive maneuvers. Hardy was in trouble here as now the cocky Jeff Jarrett came into the ring in control. Shortly after, Harris was tagged back in as the fans continued to chant Hardy’s name as they were looking for him to jump back in the offensive position. James Storm then came in as they both Irish Whipped Hardy into the corner and Hardy jumped up and delivered a high-risk move back onto AMW as now Hoyt was tagged in. The ticked off Texan was in full control for the short bit as he took all three down, followed by Sabin then delivering a missile drop kick and Hardy jumping off Hoyt’s back to out of the ring on AMW. Hoyt then went high risk onto AMW as Sabin attempted a Cradle Shock onto Jarrett just after Jarrett was going to hit him with the guitar. Sabin then hit a swinging arm DDT and got a close near fall! He then went up top as Gail Kim knocked him down and Jarrett hit The Stroke from the top rope for the victory.

Winners: Jeff Jarrett & America’s Most Wanted

The aftermath saw Jarrett’s alliance take advantage of the situation as they went to work on Hardy, Sabin, and Hoyt but it was Rhino and Team 3D that made the save as iMPACT! came to a close followed by a quick preview of Genesis tomorrow and exclusively on pay-per-view!
