OVW SPOILERS  By Eric Hall

Lots of interesting happenings at the OVW tapings last night at The Davis Arena (4400 Shepherdsville Road) in Louisville, Kentucky. Once again, you can see the interest getting higher and higher because I arrived at 6:00 pm and the parking lot was already filled. They ended the night with a big battle royal featuring most of the amateur class plus a few guys from the main OVW crew. This is newsworthy because most of the amateurs have been in the front row cheering section for a long time, and now a lot of fans get to go nuts in those seats. Of course, Seth Skyfire's smoking hot girlfriend was there in the front row with the red haired "Fugi Cake" amateur, but by the end of the night, Seth's girlfriend was in a big angle that was amazing to say the least.

During the show, Robbie Dawber came out with a big bunch of flowers, and did a ringside interview with Seth's girlfriend (who wrestles on house shows under the name Roni Jonah). Dawber gave her the flowers, but not the card that went with them. Who sent the flowers? Was it Seth? Was it The Miz? Was it Idol? Before we find out, Tytus clobbers Dawber from behind and rips up the note. Tytus was ringside because he just lost to KC James, by the way.

So now it's time for Beth Phoenix vs Shelly in a rematch, this time a No Holds Barred No DQ Street Fight. Beth and Shelly tore each other apart. You have to see this match to believe it. They fought to the outside, where Beth grabbed the flowers, and smashed Shelly with them. But wait, Roni tries to save her bouquet, but falls over the guardrail. Beth mauls her, slaps her hard, and hits a DDT on the floor. But then Shelly nails Beth in the back with a vicious chair shot! Beth gets back in the ring, but The Miz comes out to check on the super hot Roni. Of course, this brings out Skyfire. They start arguing. Beth and Shelly fight over the chair, and they're both down. Idol comes out, and grabs the chair, and beats up both Seth and Miz!  Beth then hits the Beth Valley Driver on Shelly for the pin.

But it's supposed to be Idol vs Skyfire vs Miz for the TV Title in a Triple Threat Match. Big news is they dropped the Mr. Big Time name for Idol. No "Big Time" music, no "Big Time" promos. I don't know why, but maybe Heyman told someone the Big Time monicker was a piece of crap. Idol comes out to the ring, demands the referee count out Miz and Skyfire, but Miz comes out, then Skyfire. This was as good a Triple Threat Match as you'll see. One false finish after another. Idol had Miz beat. Skyfire came off the top rope with a leg drop on Idol, and he scored the pin on Miz, who is trying to make a move on Skyfire's girlfriend. Great match, great finish, one of the best angles from match to match I've seen. Heyman really knows how to put these things better than anyone, because last week's tv show was better than anything Raw, Smackdown, or TNA had to offer.

The wrestler who used to be Beast and is now the trash talking Shad Gaspard called out CM Punk, but it was a set up for OVW Champ Gunner "Brent Albright" Scott, who whipped Punk with the leather strap and the welts on Punk's back were sick. They officially announced the long awaited Strap Match for the OVW Title for next Wednesday at the Davis Arena. Information on that show is available on http://www.ovwrestling.com/. You can also get information on DVD's and videotapes of OVW TV shows, which are available for every month of OVW's existance. Next Wednesday should be really interesting with the Albright vs Punk strap match.
