…..

Ken Kennedy returned to OVW at the tv tapings and set up a big title match against CM Punk for next Wednesday's tv tapings at the Davis Arena. Kennedy opened the tv show with Armando Alejandro Estrada, and announced Punk would have to defend his newly won title against number one contender Shad Gaspard (formerly Da Beast) on tonight's show.

Kennedy also announced that Kurt Angle would appear at Six Flags for OVW on June 2nd.

Punk choked out Gaspard in a short but excellent shoot style match in the main event. When Kennedy went to announce Punk as the winner, he suddenly demolished Punk with the title belt, and then hit a sweet swanton dive before announcing that next week, the OVW Title would be defended against himself, Mr. Kennedy. Excellent match, with an even better angle.

Also on the show, The Miz went full fledged heel with Seth Skyfire's former girlfriend Roni Jonah. They had several backstage pretapes that aired to the crowd, finalizing in Seth's new girlfriend getting into a fight with Roni. The new girlfriend was Shelly!

Miz and Roni Jonah defeated Skyfire and Shelly in a great mixed tag team match when Beth Phoenix cost Shelly the match. Miz got enormous heat, like Brent Albright and Johnny Jeter level heat. Crowd totally into booing him like crazy. Roni Jonah did great in this too. Roni, by the way, has some crazy rock n roll things going on in her mind. She's a cancer survivor and a bisexual who calls that "the best of both worlds." You can read all about at www.myspace.com/ronijonah. Happy reading.

Ryan Reeves, Kasey James, and Roadkill beat Idol Stevens, Deuce Shade, and Domino (with Cherry at ringside). Idol was so mad, he wouldn't leave the ring, and ended up wasting Mikey Batts and both Riggs Brothers with a chair. Another hot segment.

Boris continued his winning ways crushing The Real McCoy.

In dark matches, Mikey of the Spirit Squad (w/Mitch at ringside) beat Chet The Jet, and The Highlanders defeated Charles Evans and Vic Devine, who shows a lot of promise.

Maria did a backstage interview with CM Punk and looked great. No announcements made about the WWE purchase of the OVW tapes, but they were selling videos and DVD's at a discount. You can find out more at www.ovwrestling.com.

An excellent show at the Davis Arena.
