Hi Georgie,Thought I'd drop you and WrestlingFigs.com a report on the Pittsburgh Studio Wrestling reunion signing today at the Westmoreland Mall in Greensburg, PA. Many thanks to Joe's Sports Cards & Collectibles for making this all possible!
Where else could you get free autographs and photos from Bruno Sammartino, Bill Cardille, Jumpin' Johnny DeFazio, Frank Durso, and Baron Mikel Scicluna. Scicluna was a great surprise as he had only been announced tentatively in the weeks leading up to the signing. Chuck Martoni was announced but did not show.
The signing began EARLY, around 1:45, and was kicked off with Pittsburgh broadcasting legend Bill Cardille saying a few words. Getting to meet "Chilly" Billy was my main goal in going. I had one item from my own collection for each legend to sign, however each guest were signing their own photos and promotional cards and handing those out to fans as well! Every legend had no problem posing for a photo op, also.. Everyone in my group already had multiple photo ops with Bruno, so we didn't bother him for another, although I'm sure he would've gladly obliged.
The line moved at a nice pace, with everyone getting to talk to their favorite legends, and it seemed people kept trickling in as we departed around 3:00.
All in all, a great time!
