RAVEN VS. SABU, JAKE THE SNAKE VS. BUNDY! AS UXW PRESENTS 2ND ANNUAL CANDIDO MEMORIAL SHOW MAY 20th
After another spectacular UXW show, UXW is gearing up for our next event, which is less than one week away, on Saturday Night, May 20, 2006 as UXW returns to Long Island and Skate Safe America! Skate Safe America is located at 182 Bethpage Sweet Hollow Road in Old Bethpage, NY. Doors open at 6 PM with a bell time of 7 PM. This event will not be just any event as it will be the Second Annual Chris Candido Memorial Show. It’s been one full year since his untimely passing and UXW and its wrestlers look forward to paying homage to him on May 20.

Matches for the Second Annual Chris Candido Memorial Show have already been announced including two HUGE main events!
On Match 25, Raven returned to UXW and defeated Rhino to win the UXW Heavyweight Championship for the third time! That same night, the returning "Homicidal, Suicidal, Genocidal" Sabu defeated Crowbar, in what many are calling the match of that evening! Now, on May 20, for the first time ever outside of TNA (this match never happened in ECW or anywhere else), RAVEN defends his newly won UXW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP against the "Homicidal, Suicidal, Genocidal" SABU, who will have Maharajah Big in his corner!
May 20th will also mark the return of a true legend of wrestling who has not been seen in UXW in many years, the master of the 5 count, KING KONG BUNDY! His opponent will be another legend, a man that rarely makes appearances and yet alone wrestles, a man that you will not want to miss seeing in action. May 20, Bundy will go one on one with JAKE "THE SNAKE" ROBERTS!
"The Scream Queen" DAFFNEY returns to New York as she will be in the corner of CROWBAR who will square-off against "The Hardcore Icon" THE SANDMAN in a Special Challenge Match!
Since winning the UXW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP back in November, the team of HAVOK & MONTSA MACK have beat every team that has been put in their path. They have been looking for what they call "real" competition and UXW has found them just that. On May 20, Havok and Mack will defend the tag team titles against The Hardcore Chair Swinging Freaks, BALLS MAHONEY and the returning AXL ROTTEN!
Over the past several months, Team Philly has really been dominating with one TRENT ACID leading the charge. The last two shows, Acid has won a championship. Now holding both the UXW XTREME AND UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIPS, Acid has really made his mark as the man to beat in UXW. Late last night, UXW received a phone call from "PRIMETIME" ELIX SKIPPER, who demanded his rematch for the Xtreme Championship that he lost back in September. UXW officials decided to grant him that and do him one better, because on May 20, Primetime will take on Trent Acid with BOTH TITLES ON THE LINE!
Ever since winning the UXW Heavyweight Championship for only a few minutes, "King of Old School" STEVE CORINO, went into a slump and then decided to take sometime off from UXW because of his Japan schedule and his hatred for UXW President Frank Goodman. On May 20, Corino will make his return to UXW and has already been assigned a match. Corino will take on the Hardcore King of New York, "LOW LIFE" LOUIE RAMOS. This will not be an old fashioned wrestling match, oh no, it will be an ANYTHING GOES MATCH!
After being knocked silly from a very stiff "Low Life" Louie chair shot, ANTHONY DEBLASI has something planned for the Hardcore King Of New York. And he promises that it will NOT be for the weak at heart!
As part of the tradition of the Chris Candido Memorial Show, this show will have the SECOND ANNUAL CHRIS CANDIDO MEMORIAL RUMBLE. Last years winner, the younger brother of Chris Candido, JOHNNY CANDIDO, has already entered himself into this match!
Over the past several years, "Hardrock" KEN SWEENEY and NEW DYNAMITE KID have been thorns in the side of The Greatest Masked Wrestler of All Times, THE MASKED MANIAC. Back in March, New Dynamite Kid and Sweeney had a match which really ticked off the Maniac. On May 20, the three re-ignite their feud in a TRIPLE THREAT MATCH!
For months, two of UXW’s managerial fixtures, MR. BIG and JOHNNY DIAMOND have been going at one another. On May 20, the two will settle their differences in the ring. This will not be just a regular wrestling match, it will be TUXEDO SHOWDOWN!

The legends will be in the house as WWE Hall of Famer’s Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, and Tito Santana (who was the first and longest reigning USA Pro/ UXW Heavyweight Champion) will be in action! Already signed to compete will be "Homicidal, Genocidal, Suicidal" SABU taking on a man making a rare United States appearance, 2 COLD SCORPIO!
