An interesting interview with Honky Tonk Man can be heard @ WRN - Wrestling Radio Network - Home  A interview with Chris Cash and The Phantom on Get In The Ring.

The Honky Tonk Man joins Phantom and Chris Cash on the show. HTM begins the show by tearing into Randy Savage, Shawn Michaels, and Bret Hart.

HTM then brings up the exploitation of Eddie Guerrero's death by the WWE.

Phantom asks about Jim Ross getting fired. 'It's a long time coming,' and 'the show needs a lot of changes,' before impersonating Ross, and saying that Lawler 'needs to be gone.' In a strange turn of events HTM actually puts over Joey Styles.

Honky Tonk Man says not many wrestlers speak to him for fear of the WWE finding out.

Phantom asks HTM about Brian Christopher with HTM likening Christopher to Jake Roberts. HTM then rips into Lex Luger and his recent arrest.

Honky Tonk then talks about the story in Jake's DVD about the guitar shot leading to Jake's drug problems. HTM said the guitar was 'gimmicked,' and he and Jay Strongbow actually gimmicked the guitar together before the appearance. Jake's claim was 'bullshit.' HTM also knocks Mick Foley for putting this claim in his book, without checking other sources.

HTM no longer watches WWE, as he has no desire to be 'poisoned.'

Ric Flair is next in line with HTM saying he looks as bad without his shirt as Roddy Piper. HTM calls him a 'walking timebomb.', and that his recent roadrage proves what he’s been saying for years. Goes on to say that HHH should 'book with his head and not his heart.'

Honky Tonk Man goes into detail about Flair's tax problems, saying he believes the IRS are taking ALL Flair's money, and that he is working for future earnings from Vince.

Phantom asks why Ultimate Warrior only wrestled a few years as opposed to Flair working several decades. HTM says Warrior earned '10, 15, 20 million dollars per year.' During the years he was on top as a main eventer for WWF.

HTM says World Champ Hogan earned $20,000 sometimes $30,000 per night.' HTM also says that One Man Gang told HTM that he had earned $650,000 for a six-month programme with Hogan. He claims that Austin earned '10, 12, 15 million dollars per year.'

Chris Cash asks about the drug testing policy which evokes laughter from HTM. HTM claims the policy had nothing to do with Eddie Guerrero but was solely from what Phil Muchnick wrote. HTM asks 'will Vince be tested? What about Batista?'

Honky Tonk Man confirms he was on steroids back on the day, stating that 'everybody was,' going into detail on the origins of the Eugene character, in the late 80’s there was actually a shoe maker from Pittsburgh that made the boots for the wrestlers. His son was mentally challenged and some of the wrestlers took a liking to him and even gave him steroids.

Also on the drug issue, HTM says that 'McMahon has no way of contolling what these guys do after they leave the building.' He states that Vince NEVER told him to take steroids, but when the guys see the likes of Hogan and Warrior being pushed, then it can lead to peer-pressure.

Honky Tonk Man also asks where the money for the wrestlers is on the DVD's that Vince McMahon releases? He also talks about the Legends contract and tells excremental rib stories.
