The Squared Circle Expo debuted this weekend in Indianapolis, Indiana. I have been to hundreds of conventions and events and this was the best debut event I have ever attended. From the first social media announcement of the event to the postponement due to the pandemic to the rescheduling to the actual event, the management of SCE was very communicative with everyone, keeping all updated through every development. This mindset continued through the whole weekend. It really was flawless.
As for the event itself, it was awesome. More than 30 wrestling legends were part of the lineup and all were at their tables for the entire time, except for panels or photo-ops. It made it so much more relaxing not worrying about missing a wrestler who left early. Every wrestler was in a great mood, spending extra time with each fan.
My favorite part of any such convention is meeting the celebrities, but I also enjoyed the panels at SCE. The “History of Women’s Wrestling” panel with Madusa, Melina, Vickie Guerrero and Francine was my favorite. There was also a cosplay contest and a night of wrestling matches to close out the convention Saturday night.
On Sunday morning, the Squared Circle Expo II was announced for April 15-16, 2022 in Indianapolis, Indiana. I am already looking forward to SCE 2022.
