Hello Wrestling fans

Here is a short recap of the house show that took place here at the Bell Centre in Montreal yesterday March 24th;

Crowd (approx. 10 000) was hot all night long. The set-up with the giant screen for the entrance video, ramp and smoke machine gives a whole new look to the house show;

New Day vs Cesaro/Sheamus vs Cass/Enzo vs Club for the tag-team belts opens the show; Cesaro wore a Montréal Canadiens jersey to the ring ;Anderson pins Big E using the ropes for leverage. Match was a letdown with all 8 men working way too light; After the match the babyfaces get Sheamus to dance against his will.

Austin Aries pins cruiserweight champion Adrian Neville following a spinning forearm in a non title match. It was announced as a title match but before the bout Neville took the mic saying he never agreed to put his title on the line. Lots of high flying moves.

Goldust, R-Truth & Curtis Axel beat Titus O’Neil & The Shining Stars when Truth pinned O’Neil; mostly comedy in this one; After the match, O’Neil screamed it was only a count of 2, not 3, and challenged anyone in the back to come out and face his right away;

Sin Cara pinned Titus O’Neil following a top rope senton under a minute. O’Neil threw a temper tantrum as he left.

Roman Reigns beat Samoa Joe by DQ when Joe hit him on the hip with a chair; As he was about to smash him again, Joe got hit with a thunderous spear. Crowd was divided in this one, with more Roman fans than you’d think; great psychology and hard hitting action. Reigns shook hands with pretty much the whole ringside area after the match. Rumor has it that Joe was subbing for an injured Braun Strowman.

-After intermission, Bailey, Sasha Banks & Dana Brooks beat Charlotte Flair, Nia Jax & Alicia Fox when Bailey pinned Charlotte with her finishing belly-to-Bailey suplex; not much of a match, as the girls seemed more into joking with the referee than wrestling; Charlotte was looking weird with no make-up and without her usual entrance robe, and no cartwheel either;

Finn Balor pinned Jinder Mahal with the coup de grace foot stomp from the top rope; Great pop for Balor with his amazing entrance music; not much of a match, mostly dominated by Mahal; As he stood on the ramp after the match, Balor signalled for a belt around his waist soon;

Sami Zayn pinned Kevin Owens after hitting him hard with two helluva kick in the main event, In a no DQ match called a ‘’Montreal street fight’’. Kevin did a ton of media appearances leading to this match; Crowd was 60-40 behind Zayn and everyone was standing up during the whole match, as kendo sticks, chairs and 3 tables were used; After the match Zayn said how the two of them started their careers together, fighting in little halls all around Montreal and how they are now headlining the Bell center for WWE. He added he doesn’t like K.O but respects him. Owens pretended to be moved to tears, only to say something that could be best translated with “Damn I hate you Sami’’ before dropping the mic and heading to the back . Zayn then draped a Quebec flag over his shoulder and shook hands with the whole ringside area for about 10 minutes.

All in all a good show, capped with a terrific main event; It was indeed the first time that two Quebec natives main-evented the Bell Center, since the last time it was at the old Forum when Jacques Rougeau faced Pierre-Carl Ouellet in 1994. Show started at 7h30 and ended at 10h20.

Thanks for reading and see you at the matches !
