….

On Wednesday afternoon, a bit under 200 WWE fans trekked down to Princeton, New Jersey to the Hyatt for a chance to be on Deal or No Deal, WWE Style.......I got there about 2:15 PM for a 3:30 PM audition that ran late.  Before us, they were auditioning the ARMED FORCES........anyway, they gave me a 2 page application with various questions about your life, not specifically the WWE.....it seems they wanted to know about milestones in your life, favorite job, embarrassing moment, highlight of your life, etc...

It was a little after 4:00 PM when they announced that numbers 1-100 would be the first group to audition and then 101-200 would be the 2nd group......The cast of characters at this audition was a site to see.....there were people from Boston that drove down, New Yorkers, New Jerseyans, and I am sure a few other states represented....people with championship  belt replicas, masks, shirts, bandanas, garb to your imagination limits, and also people dressed casually, people in suits, and some very loud and obnoxious people..  All walks of life, but hey, that is what you see at a WWE event anyway.

When we got into the room, there were 2 people there who were doing the auditions......the one man who seemed to be in charge told us we would be called up in groups of 6-8 I believe, and each of us were to put our application in front of us and we each had 30 seconds to talk about ourselves and why we should be picked.  This impromptu presentation was equal for everyone but NOT equal for everyone......because in my opinion, although each of us had the same opportunity, there were 2 different interviewers and that adds variability and some inconsistency in the process in my opinion.  After our group was done the man in charge thanked us and said they had a few other questions for some people and called their name out, and that was allegedly meaning nothing but some areas to clarify.... They then told us that if they were interested we would hear in 2 weeks.....and thanked us..... It was a fun time but I think that it could have been better if only 1 person did the interview or if each interview was a private one and not group  but hey, what do I know.
I am a WWE fan who once went through this process with the USA NETWORK and was lucky enough to be chosen for the WWE RAW FAN NATION commercial 2 years... ago.......

Best of everything,    Dr. Wayne Berman
