Not a good report……

Hey Georgie,

I know I send you a lot of signing reports but this one is one that is needed to get the word out on what happened in Philadelphia yesterday.

First of all, we went to get TNA Lockdown tickets. My friend wanted 1 Front Row ticket to the event. He was first in line at the box office and was unable to even get one. The best available was 2nd row as TNA has taken all the front rows for there Packages and personal use. It's a bit upsetting as those who live in or near Philly don't need all the stuff in the package (3 night hotel stay to be specific)

From there we went to go meet Kurt. When we enter the FYE excited for the next portion of the day we stood in shock as FYE was requiring the purchase of a DVD in order to meet him. TNA set this up as a free signing but FYE took it on themselves to make people buy something to meet Kurt. My friend took it up with management but the lady in charge kept saying that it was on their website that you had to buy a DVD to meet him. He brought it up on his blackberry to and asked her to show him where casue eh couldn't find it. It was not on their website at all and FYE did it to make a quick buck. When I got up to Kurt he signed my Attitude area title, TNA program and 2 pictures for my friend who refused to buy the DVD due to false advertising. Kurt was quiet but friendly.

We waited for the signing to be over to talk to Kurt some more. Another fan called Angle out on the signing being free and Kurt repetitively apologized as he knew TNA set it up as a free signing to promote Lockdown tickets and FYE took it upon themselves to charge an admission. He had to do the appearance, whether they were charging or not. Kurt was a class act signing as security was telling him he needed to go but he didn't care after the crap FYE pulled.

Just wanted to get the word out on the poor job FYE event did. This makes me really question whether or not I'll be going to another of their signings.

-Dan

(BTW, another friend of mine, bought the DVD, asked that they not sign it, it was a gift for a friend, and he didn't want it signed.  He got his photos signed, and when the signing was over, he brought back the DVD to get his money back.)
