Last night, I took in my first night of POWW (Purely Obsessed Wrestling World) action in Arlington Heights, IL. Being that it was my first POWW show, I was not totally familiar with the ongoing storylines, but a few fans quickly caught me up with all.

The night was filled with really solid matches, but the highlight for me was Melanie Cruise versus Nikki St. John. I have seen these ladies before, but never in the ring against each other. It is always tougher performing in a small place, where the fans are so close to the action, but Melanie and Nikki put on an exciting match with great moves, counter-moves and energy.

The rest of the night was filled with other solid matches, good promos and some entertaining bits, including a "Happy Birthday" rendition for a young fan.

After the show, we talked to ring announcer Mr. Ricolo and Psychotic Jimmy Blaze. We plan on covering more POWW events in the future.
