…..

Hi Georgie!

Once again, another legend has stopped by Maryalnd to do an autograph signing. And of course, I was there!

One of my faves growing up, The Master of The DDT, Jake The Snake Roberts was scheduled to sign autographs at Signature Sports in Marley Station Mall in Glen Burnie, MD at 5:30. I've been excited ot meet him since I was a kid, so of course I'm not gonna pass this up. Dave, the owner I believe, did a great job. I believe this was their first wrestling signing, and it was a real pleasure. Dave and his staff were very polite and helpful to all. $10 for an autograph ticket, $5 for an 8x10, and no charge for the photo with him. Terrific deal! Jake's plane was delayed, and Dave let us know that it was going to be a little longer wait than previously thought. Jake showed up about 15, maybe even 25 minutes after his singing was supposed to begin, but his plane had delayed. Jake can't be blamed, neither can his agent or even the store, so no biggie I guess. Dave also reminded us that he has only an hour before he was to go to another show. I believe he was scheduled for the EWA in Parkville, MD that night. So things were rushed, but still handled very well(unlike that Finlay and Hornswoggle signing in White Marsh, MD two months ago). Not a lot of time to talk to him, but we got our sigs and a pic and everyone was still happy. I would have liked to have talked to Jake more, but under the circumstances, it's understood. .

It was almost 6 when The Snakeman got there. Jake was greeted with a big applause and seemed happy to be there. The other people in the mall just rolled their eyes and laughed at us. But we didn't care! lol. There were quite a few kids there who were excited to meet him. Jake, loving kids, had a great time meeting them as well. A young girl had her cast signed, and he even drew a mustache on her and her brothers faces. That's Jake being Jake!

I got my WWE Jake dvd and a photo signed and a quick picture with him holding my belt. My picture came out blurry, but you can still tell it's him.

I've enclosed a pictrue of him and I with my WWF IC Belt.

I would like to thank Dave for putting on a great session, everyone seemed to enjoy it. He had a great deal on 8x10s and even posters I believe. Him and his crew run a great store, and in July Sunny, Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff will be there. In August, a momentous occasion, as Bruno Sammartino will be returning to Maryland for his first ever autograph signing in our humble state. I overheard Dave saying "He's the Call Ripken of Wrestling" to many fans. He will be signing autographs with Bryan Clark. If anyone gets the gets the chance, go to the store and go to the signings. Great time had by all!

See you around!
