TNA Wrestling from the Mid-Hudson civic center.

in Poughkeepsie, NY

Friday night, March 11

Don West greeted the fans outside the Mid Hudson Civic Center just before 5:30pm.  At that time Don talked up what was going to happen for the fans the had tickets for rows 1 - 4.  He exampled how started around 6 pm wrestlers would walk around the ringside area to sign autographs.  Then he continued to talk about his "Brown Bag" deal which was a Jeff Hardy t-shirt, 4 different TNA DVDs and a TNA draw-string bag for only $20.  Don then talked up a limited number of AJ Styles Classic figures for $15 that AJ would sign around 7pm.  After the figure was the TNA program.

After doors opened it was another half hour before fans where able to get to the ring area.  Don said he wanted the wrestlers to arrive and give fans a chance to pick up more different things at the gimmick table.  Around 6:30 fans entered the ring area for the pre show autograph session.

The wrestlers that did the meet and greet were Gunner, Murphy, Robbie E, Cookie, Velvet Sky, Hernandez, and Don West.  All the different wrestlers were very nice to the fans.  Taking pictures, signing everything they could, joked with different fans and talked with everyone.  Gunner and Murphy made sure that if people wanted photos they would get both in the picture.  Hernandez was saying he can on do the "L" from the LAX hand sign because he was all alone in TNA.  Velvet was great.  Robbie got fans to fist pump.

When doors open at 7 AJ Styles started his autograph session in the lobby.  Don West was pushing the Classic figure and the programs during the signing.  AJ Styles was real nice to the fans, even asking Atlas security to "cool it with the fans" when the security guard was getting hash with different fans.  AJ even said sorry to a few fans that the guard was a little rough on.

The event was packed but not sold out.  They where empty rows on the floor and empty rows in the bleacher area.

J.B. opened the show after his hype man announced him.  J.B. looked "rough" like he did not sleep in a week or shave in days.   He wanted to get the fans loud by talking about giving away backstage passes to loud fans.  Gunner and Murphy came out with some guy and said Immortal does not want fans in the locker room area so no passes.  After they left the ring area said that this is TNA country and passes for the loudest fans.

Match 1:

X-Division championship:

Kaz (Champ) defeated Robbie E with Cookie and Shannon Moore.  A few key points of the match:  Robbie tried to get Shannon and Kaz to fist pump and they started to but ended up giving Robbie the bird.  Cookie tried to get into the match when Kaz put her over his knee and Shannon spanked her.  Kaz pinned Robbie E after the over the back piledriver.

Earl is announced to ref the next match.  He comes out to Alice in Chains "Man in the Box" (Tommy Dreamer's ECW theme song).  Gets in the ring with the same "you screwed Bret" chants.  Earl takes off his ref shirt and shows the is wearing a "Damn right I did" shirt on and puts on sunglasses, then starts to do the Bret Hart entrance movements with his arms.

Match 2:

Madison Rayne (Champ) defeated Velvet Sky after a roll up with her feet on the ropes.  Earl got the "kiss" spot with Madison during the match.

TNA agent and Multi-time WWF title holder D-Lo Brown watches the matches from the fans.  Before the matches he signs autographs for anyone that asked.  D-Lo seemed to enjoy the fans that asked him and talked to fans about the matches going on.

Match 3:

During intermission TNA Knockout Champion Madison Rayne signed autographs in the lobby.  Once again hash Atlas security seem to be on the case on many fans.  Don West through out different things from the ring.  He through CDs that just acted like darts.  They should of stay away from what could case injuries, like the CDs.  Don walked around and was hash to many fans going to the point to insult them for asking questions.  D-lo Brown signed autographs in the crowd as he walked around.

Match 5:

AJ Styles defeated Jeff Hardy with the Styles Clash.  This was a 5 star match.  Fans were behind both men.  Hardy gave the bird to the fans many times and AJ gave the Fortune hand sign to Hardy.  A lot of back and forth in the match.   After the match Jeff Hardy slapped hands with the fans, hugged a few kids and thanked the fans for the support.

Main Event:

Kurt Angle made Jeff Jarrett tap out to the ankle lock.  The fans just blasted Jarrett.  The match started with Angle getting the upper hand with chain wrestling until Jarrett started to cheat.  Jarrett chocked Angle on the ropes a few times and hit the leg drop as Angle was on the middle rope.  Angle went for the Angle Slam but Jeff got out and hooked the Stroke, Angle rolled throw and locked in the ankle lock till Jarrett tapped out.

After the show JB announced there will be a TNA autograph party and photos with Kurt Angle in the ring.  Angle said he wanted to make the party more fun and said Beer Money would join him in the ring for the photo-ops.   Shannon Moore, Kaz, Velvet Sky, Robbie E, Earl, JB, Cookie, and Hernandez.  Matt Morgan signed autographs in the lobby.
