Days of the Dead returned to Chicago and it was better than ever. There were Hall of Fame wrestling celebrity guests and some well known wrestling attendees.

The Rock N Roll Express were awesome. We talked about their WWE HOF induction and how honored they were. Robert and Ricky both were really engaging all weekend long.

Demolition Ax and Smash were there courtesy of Jayson Maples and Heroes and Legends Professional Wrestling. The legendary tag team was in full face paint and happily talking to fans. The 3x tag champs thanked everyone for the weekend long HOF chants. They were a lot of fun and class acts.

Also appearing was Angelina Love. She was a real sweetheart and she looked fantastic. She’s busy on the Indy wrestling scene, as well as caring for her infant son.

Mad Man Pondo was in attendance to meet some of his horror favorites, but he spent a good deal of time taking pictures with attendees and celebs who are fans of his. He’s a great guy. Just watch out for the Stop sign.

Indy wrestlers “Hardcore” Heather Owens and “Zubaz” Ed Gonzales are part of the Days crew.  They work hard and play hard.  They meet their horror favorites and also are stopped or pictures by their fans.
I ran into Skitz M. Jones, local wrestling broadcaster, musician and semi-retired wrestler.  We caught up on the local wrestling scene and exchanged horror con stories.
Last (and definitely not least), the “Shot to the Top” wrestling manager PL Myers and I interviewed Adolfo Dorta, the man behind Days of the Dead.  Adolfo deserves applause from the wrestling community for all of the great wrestlers he has brought in for Days of the Dead.  Sometimes criticized by the hardcore horror fans, the wrestling guests are often the most popular guests at Days.

The next Days of the Dead is in February in Atlanta and I am sure there will be more legendary wrestlers there, too!
