Last night we attended the Chicago premiere of Fancypants. On the surface, it is a story of wrestler, Leo the Blue Lion (played by Patrick Gleason) who is nearing the end of his career. Tommy (played by Jackson Dunn) is his biggest fan who excitedly can recall Leo's every match and desperately wants Leo to win. The movie is really about the relationship between the two. Roddy Piper is hilarious as Smiley Burns, ex-wrestler-turned announcer. Former American Gladiator Beth Horn appears as Animal Babe, one of Leo's opponents. The movie is part dark comedy, part farce, part inspirational, but really simply enjoyable.

The actors and crew were awesome during the Red Carpet walk and the following Q&A. Unfortunately, Piper was unable to attend due to his recent neck surgery.
