Resistance Pro returned to the Barn in Willowbrook, IL, on Friday, July 26 with a great night of action.
Dark Match-Triple threat match featuring Eddie Graves, Jay Bly, and Kharn Alexander, with Graves winning.
Scotty Young defeated Lance Storm wrestling academy graduate Jake O’Neil.
Remi Wilkins beat Marvelous Matt Knicks in a short match.
Nikki St. John and Camron Star (making her R Pro debut) beat Thunderkitty and Lucy Mendez (in her R Pro return). After the match, Zach Thompson talked to Nikki St. John about the possibility of a women's tag team title.
Barry Ryte (of Special Forces) low-blowed Jon Malus and finished him after Miss Prig and Colonel Jesse Corgan provided a distraction.
Lock Up with Warden Myers retained the tag tiles by defeating Mad Man Pondo and Brady Pierce in a Pondo Rules match. Pierce fought much of the match on his own after Pondo was taken to the back after being hurt from landing on a pallet. Pondo eventually returned but Lock Up took the win. After the match, Pierce blamed Pondo for the loss, slapped him and walked out without him.
D'Arcy Dixon retained her R Pro Women's title by defeating Mickie Knuckles via an impressive power bomb. This was the match of the night and the best match I have seen from the ever-improving Dixon! The crowd was really into this one and deservedly so.
The last match featured Team Ego (The Ego Robert Anthony, Lonesome Jay Bradley, Da Cobra, Willie Richardson and Ruff Crossing) versus Team Jocephus (Jocephus Brody, Ashton Vuitton, Vector A, Trevor Court and masked newcomer Los Angle) in a 10 man tag team elimination match. The remaining winners got a shot at the title of their choosing in R Pro. In the end, Brody pinned Ego, leaving himself, Vector A and Los Angle as the remaining victors. Could this possibly set up a 4 way match for the title on a future show?
This was another excellent event from R Pro. The women's match stole the show and will be long-remembered. The crowd was pretty hot all night long. Once again, I honestly cannot wait for the next R Pro show.
During the evening, Matt Parker posed with referee Robert King, I posed with Women's champ D'Arcy Dixon, Matt got into a little trouble with Warden Myers and Suge D and I posed with special ring announcer Mr. Ricolo, Lucy Mendez, Ashton Vuitton, R Pro broadcaster C Red and Miss Prig.
