I attended the Women’s Wrestling Army’s Saturday night event at the Logan Auditorium in Chicago. I am not exaggerating when I state the show was amazing start to finish and my buddy Tony Feddeler would agree. Being familiar with most of the women on the card, we expected a solid show. Instead every match was incredible.

There were a lot of hard hits in and out of the ring. Chest chops rang through the hall and were followed my gasps from the hyped crowd. There was more physicality than high flying, acrobatic maneuvers, which the crowd loved. There were plenty of “This is awesome” chants and a few standing ovations. Tony and I agreed, this was probably the best women’s card we have ever seen.

After the show, many of the women came out to meet the fans. I met Ashley D’Ambroise, Janai Kai and Mazzerati for the first time. I caught up with Holidead, who I knew from our time with Resistance Pro Wrestling. I had previously met LuFisto and Missa Kate, but it was great seeing them again. Maria Kanellis-Bennett was friendly both before and after the show.
Maria Kanellis-Bennett has something special happening here. I did not hear one complaint from the crowd (unusual for a wrestling crowd). I am looking forward to future show announcements.
