Resistance Pro Wrestling's Mane Attraction results from Friday March 29th at The Barn in Willowbrook, IL:
Nikki St. John beat "the Queen of Hardcore" Mickie Knuckles
Lockup retained their tag titles by defeating Da Soul Touchas
Mad Man Pondo beat Brady Pierce in a "Pondo's Rules" NO DQ match (afterwards, Pondo praised Pierce)
Thunderkitty beat Crazy Mary Dobson with the sleeperhold
"Lonesome" Jay Bradley delivered the "Boomstick" to ECW legend Mikey Whipwreck to pick up the hard fought win
Jocephus Brody won the first ever R Pro Battle Royal by outlasting the other 13 combatants
Amazing Kong and D'Arcy Dixon's match was interrupted by Nikki St. John, resulting in a "no contest" and setting up a tag match pitting Kong and Melanie Cruise against Dixon and St. John. Kong and Cruise emerged victorious. Kong laid out Cruise before leaving the ring.
R Pro Champ "The Ego" Robert Anthony beat "The Boss" Bobby Lashley in an outstanding match that pushed both men to their limit. Post match, Lashley shook Anthony's hand as a sign of respect.
After the matches, the Smashing Pumpkins and Anthony posed with fans in the ring.
The Barn was filled. The crowd was hot. The action was great. This was a typical event for Resistance Pro...typically outstanding!
I got pictures with Mikey Whipwreck, Kong, Jesse Anderson (Corgan), Mad Man Pondo and Crazy Mary Dobson. David Parker got a picture with Bobby Lashley. Matt Parker pose with the Two Star Heroes. We all posed with the Pumpkins and Ego.
