…..

Hello Georgie,

I normally do not respond to reports regarding signings, but I had to do so regarding the one from
BPPHILLY37 regarding LOTR VI.  I will take it piece-by-piece.

THE AFTERNOON SESSION TURNED INTO A MESS,NOONE CHECKING SUPERTICKET NUMBERS

The superticket numbers are ALWAYS monitored.  Just because a staff member does not walk up to each individual person and look at their number, doesn't mean we can't see the numbers and know if/when someone is out of sequence.  Furthermore, if the VIP ticket holders are off by 5-7, it doesn't really matter.  As long as your are in your group of twenty (that is called up), and are in some semblence of an "order" we don't make a fuss.  Our customers understand this.

IN WITH THE SUPERTICKET PEOPLE TERRANCES PEOPLE WERE TELLING PEOPLE TO GET IN LINE

This happened only for Booker T. and Scorpio.  We knew that Booker would have the most General Admission ticket holders purchasing extra autographs/photo-ops.  And since there were lulls in the line, we decided to allow those ticket holders to get their items signed and to get their photo-ops.  There was no sense in wasting precious time that could be used to satisfy everyone's purchases.  There were only two instances where a superticket holder may have been held up (at the MOST by 20 seconds) by a GA ticket holder getting their items/photos.  As for Scorpio, he had a flight to catch and we needed to make sure that everyone had their tickets fulfilled.  No one was held up from doing this.

TERRENCE WAS SEEN TAKING PEOPLE OUT OF LINE

Come again?  As far as I know, only one person was removed from the line and that was by me.  Once the situation was rectified to everyone's satisfaction, that person was permitted to re-enter the line without waiting.

THE LEGENDS CREW ALL DISAPPEARED FOR ONE HR.,BECAUSE THERE WERE SUDDENLY WHISPERS GOING AROUND THAT THE CONVENTION WAS GOING TO GET SHUT DOWN BY THE FIREMARSHALL

At no point was there even a mention of the fire marshall.  Disappeared?  Where would we go?  If you're speaking of when the first signing block finished, then yes, we probably did go off to use the restroom, freshen up, or grad a drink, but EVERYONE was already through the line.

MAYBE LEGENDS OF THE RING SHOULD TAKE SOME LESSONS FROM SIGNAMANIA

Such as?

ACTUALLY LEGENDS OF THE RING PROMOTER WERE SEEN AT SIGNAMANIA 2,  MAYBE DID NOT LEARN FROM A CLASS CONVENTION.

Considering that the LOTR promoters weren't at Signamania to learn anything, I would assume this to be correct.

THIS IS LAST TIME I GO TO THE LEGENDS OF THE RING!!!!

I am sorry to hear this.  If these things actually DID happen, there could have possibly been a legitimate gripe.  But since they DIDN'T, there isn't.

Thanks, Georgie and God bless,

Dan

Hello Georgia

I  usually don’t respond to reports from other fans, but  this time I really have to say something in response to BPPHILLY37’s report. I strongly disagree with this person’s claim that the afternoon session was a mess. And sorry, but super tickets were being checked. My number was in the 50s and I observed Terrance on quite a few occasions going down the line checking people’s tickets to make sure people were where they were  suppose to be. In fact, the people in front of me commented that “unlike a lot of other wrestling conventions, super ticket numbers are checked at Legends of the Ring”. And yes, I did see someone removed in a sense – but I don’t think it’s the same way that you mean.  I know when numbers were being checked, Terrence told some guy who had 84, that since they had only asked for numbers 1-50 to get in line, he would have to go to the end and wait until they called his number. So, maybe you didn’t observe it personally, but numbers were checked.  I also don’t think that Legends needs to take lessons from Signamania or anyone else. I have been to other conventions and in my opinion, Legends is at the top of my list. I know that if my  number is in the 50s (which is what I had this time), then there’s no reason to rush and get in line, I just have to wait and my number will be called. I also know that I will only have to go through the line one time per session to get my autograph and photo with wrestler, which is (to me)   the most efficient way to do it. And not to bash Signamania – because I did attend the last one – but I didn’t like the way things were done there. I thought it was very disorganized. When I asked what numbers people had, I was told that it doesn’t matter, so to me I don’t understand the purpose of them giving of numbers to begin with if there’s no number order or people checking.  I also thought that a lot more time was wasted by having half the line get autograph only and then come all the way back in again to do pictures, but that’s just my opinion.  So, from my personal view, Legends is a whole lot more organized than Signamania or any other conventions. But, like I said that’s just my opinion and I think that if you are a true wrestling fan, you are cheating yourself if you say you’ll never attend another Legends of the Ring just because you had one bad experience.
