12/28/08 RAW/ECW House Show Results from Madison Square Garden

- The show opened up with Howard Finkel welcoming us to the show. Nice surprise to have "The Fink" doing the ring announcing for the evening.
- ECW Brand:
"Fit" Finley (With Hornswoggle) <V> "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry (With Tony Atlas)
Winner: Finley. Hornswoggle came in and Henry threw him down which allowed a ref distraction and a cane shot from Finley. After the match, Finley brought about 8 kids into the ring to dance with Hornswoggle and himself.
- RAW Brand Divas Match:
Kelly Kelly & Melina <V> "The Glamazon" Beth Phoenix (WWE Womens Champion) & Jillian Hall
Winners: Kelly & Melina when Melina pinned Jillian with an Inverted Legdrop Bulldog. She attempted her Last Call but couldn't hit it and went for the second finish. Kelly Kelly is loved by the little kids as there were lots of chants for her by them and she went around ringisde hugging them.
- ECW World Title Match:
Matt Hardy <V> "The All American American" Jack Swagger
Winner: Hardy with the Twist Of Fate. On a side note, I must say I was really impressed with Swagger. He worked an old school match with Hardy and was got the psychology of the match and working the crowd.
- World Tag Team Title Match:
John Morrison & The Miz <V> Cryme Tyme (JTG & Shad Gaspard)
Winners: Miz and Morrison when Morrison pins Shad with the Moonlight Drive.
- RAW Brand Match
"The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels <V> "The Big Red Machine" Kane
- Pre match, John "Bradshaw" Layfield comes out and says that JBL was supposed to fight HBK. He says that HBK is now working for JBL so the match isn't going to happen. Instead it will be HBK against Kane -
Winner: HBK with Sweet Chin Music. At points it looked like JBL was trying to cost Shawn the match. Then Kane was in control and JBL got back on the apron. Kane knocked him off which allowed enough time for Shawn to hit Sweet Chin Music. After the match, JBL reiterated that Shawn was his employee and he told the fans Merry Christmas from JBL.
- Santino Marella's music hits. He begins to do a promo when The Boogeyman's music hits. He comes out and into the ring and Santino screams and runs off. Boogeyman chases after him. Santino is money!
- WWE Intercontinental Title Match:
William Regal (With Layla) <V> CM Punk
Winner: Regal with a Charging Knee after a distraction from Layla. Layla gets on the apron and "appears" to hurt her knee which Punk looks at quick.
- RAW Brand Match:
Rey Misterio Jr & Kofi Kingston <V> "The Legend Killer" Randy Orton & Cody Rhodes (With Manu)
Winners: Rey & Kofi. After the match, Rey brings a little girl into the ring, which he gave his shirt too earlier.
- Main Event:
World Heavyweight Title Match:
John Cena <V> Chris Jericho
Winner: Cena with an FU from the Turnbuckles. Great back and forth match with tons of false finishes.
- Good overall card with the guys working hard.
