PROFESSIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING (PCW)
PCW FULL THROTTLE
PCW ARENA, ARLINGTON, TEXAS
SATURDAY, AUGUST 5, 2006

*****FIGHT-WIN-SURVIVE WEEK THREE*****
Fight-Win-Survive is a five-week competition consisting of anything-goes
stipulation matches between members of four teams, and each team is led by a
Bussey brother: Chris, Larry, Stephen and Thomas. At the end of the five
weeks, the two teams with the most points will face off inside a steel cage.
SCORE: CHRIS 4, LARRY 4, THOMAS 4, STEPHEN 3
*****RESULTS*****
The following was taped for airing in the Dallas-Fort Worth area on the Lone
Star Channel, as well as worldwide distribution via SmartVideo and release
on DVD, with Timekeeper Kody Kox, Ring Announcer Travis Baxter and TV
Commentators Rob Moore and Richard Hill.
FOUR POST MASSACRE MATCH
JAMES JOHNSON (Team Larry) beat CAPTAIN CANADA (Team Stephen) and B.J.
TURNER (Team Thomas)
--Each wrestler had his team's flag posted on each of the four corners. To
win the match, a wrestler had to execute a successful offensive maneuver off
each of the top turnbuckles. Johnson, the reigning PCW World Cruiserweight
Champion, dug himself out of an early hole to hit a frog splash elbow from
the top onto Canada to have his fourth flag taken down and win the match for
his team.
SCORE: LARRY 5, CHRIS 4, THOMAS 4, STEPHEN 3
Chris and Stephen Bussey came out. Chris, the co-owner of PCW, told his
brother and "personal assistant" that he wanted it to be Team Chris and Team
Stephen in the finals in two weeks and gave him an ultimatum to make sure it
happened.
HOUSE OF PAIN MATCH-FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE
KEVIN PAINE (Team Larry) beat APOCALYPSE (Team Stephen)
--Apocalypse used everything he could think of, including driving Paine
through a table, to try to win for his team, but Paine took it outside the
ring, giving Apoc a DDT on the ring apron and then another DDT from the
apron to the floor to get the pin.
SCORE: LARRY 6, CHRIS 4, THOMAS 4, STEPHEN 3
PCW interviewer Crystal was about to introduce her guest when Claudia came
out. Claudia wanted Crystal to apologize for agreeing with Mike Foxx calling
Claudia a ****. Crystal wouldn't do that, and the two women got into a
catfight. The 7'2" Colossus came out and grabbed Crystal, but, while Foxx
wasn't in the building, PCW World Heavyweight Champion Mace Malone was.
Malone chased Colossus out of the ring, and Claudia announced that, in the
night's Main Event match, already announced as Malone vs. Colossus, the
match would be a Roman Gladiator Match, with all weapons legal, and with
Crystal in Malone's corner.
CHAIN MATCH
SHADOW (Team Thomas) beat BRETT BARNES (Team Larry) and LUKE BRONSON (Team Chris)
--The chain was loose in the ring and was a legal weapon. Last week, Bronson
and Chris Bussey had made a challenge to any Black Team (Thomas) member for
this match, but, instead, Barnes came out in his Gray Team T-shirt, asking
to be given a chance. Shadow then came out and said, "I AM the Black Team!"
and he charged the ring. There was brief teamwork at times before it
degenerated into every man for himself. Shadow used Bronson's own chain
against him to put him down for the pin.
SCORE: LARRY 6, THOMAS 5, CHRIS 4, STEPHEN 3
PCW Co-Owner Thomas Bussey and his brother and "personal assistant," Larry
Bussey, came out. Thomas said he wanted the FWS finals to be Team Thomas vs.
Team Larry. Thomas held up a picture of brother Chris and led the fans in
chanting "Bad Things Are Gonna Happen" at the picture; he then ripped the
photo up and stomped on it.
TAPED FIST MATCH
NOBE BRYANT (Team Chris) beat TARANTULA (Team Larry)
--Each man had brass knuckles heavily taped onto their right hands. Bryant
won when he hit Tarantula in the stomach with the taped knucks and then hit
the Real Deal to get the pin.
SCORE: LARRY 6, CHRIS 5, THOMAS 5, STEPHEN 3
PCW LEGENDS TAG TEAM MATCH
ACTION JACKSON (Team Thomas) & CHRIS CHRONIC beat TIM STORM (Team Stephen) & GABE ROACH
--Special referee for this match was "The Dean of Texas Wrestling
Officials," Ric Manning, with Chronic and Roach both returning to PCW Arena
after lengthy absences. Roach & Storm used classic tag team skullduggery to
work on Chronic's left knee and keep the advantage, but Jackson had enough
and ran in like a house afire, giving Roach the Big Booyah for the pin and
the win. The loss eliminated Team Stephen from FWS, and Stephen ran into the
ring ... and right into a near-Booyah from Jackson until Storm dragged the
team captain out.
SCORE: LARRY 6, THOMAS 6, CHRIS 5, STEPHEN 3
Nobe Bryant came out and challenged Mike Foxx for next week. Thomas Bussey
spoke for the absent Foxx, saying that Bryant would get his match ... but he
wouldn't tell him what kind of match it would be.
ROMAN GLADIATOR MATCH-ALL WEAPONS LEGAL
COLOSSUS (Team Chris, w/ Claudia) beat MACE MALONE (Team Larry, w/ Crystal)
--This got bloody when Malone fired Colossus into the iron ringpost and,
later, powerbombed the 7'2" giant outside the ring, hitting his head on the
guardrail. The referee had his hands full with trying to control the women
outside the ring as well as the men inside. Malone had to use a chair to get
high enough to give Colossus the Detonator, but Colossus got the shoulder
up. Crystal chased Claudia around the ring as Colossus powerbombed Malone
and pinned him to make FWS a three-way tie. Crystal and Claudia got into it
again, and Colussus dragged Claudia out to save her from the enraged
Crystal.
SCORE: CHRIS 6, LARRY 6, THOMAS 6, STEPHEN 3

National Wrestling Superstars put on their travel gear and went to Dodd Stadium, the home of the Connecticut Defenders Baseball team in Norwich, CT this past Saturday, August 5th and this my friends was no ordinary NWS event.
The show opened with Shockwave defeating Flamingo in 8 minutes.
The next match saw former WWE tag champions, The Heart Throbs take on NWS mainstay tag team, Team Supreme (Corvis Fear and Nicky Oceans).  Fear & Oceans stepped up to the plate (literally since the ring was set up on home plate) and impressed everyone in attendance going hold for hold against the former champions before Antonio and Romeo pinned Fear for the win.
The next event was a woman's match pitting Alere Little Feather against Jana.  Little Feather and Jana spent nearly 9 minutes punishing each other and ripping at each others clothes (this is one you have to see) before Little Feather hit her opponent with a chop and rolled her up for the pin.
Next was the Baghdad Bullies (Saddam Insane and TNT), accompanied to ringside by Simon Diamond and King Du I Stinq against The Patriot and The Clown.  NWS officials ordered Diamond back to the dressing room and the match started and The Patriot and The Clown won the match (even getting a few good shots against the King...which for the record...should wear something under his boxers...another for the video).  After the match, Simon returned with The Heart Throbs to beat down on The Clown and Patriot before Matt Hyson (aka Spike Dudley and Brother Runt) and B.G. James (aka Road Dogg) came in to make the save.
After intermission, fans were treated to a midget match pitting Short Sleeve Samson against Little Killer. The fans love Samson and despite Killer being larger (and using a Bronx Gimmick where he looked like a mini New Jack), Short Sleeve won the match.
Next saw King Kaluah  wrestled Brutus the Barber Beefcake in a loser gets a haircut match.  The King was accompanied by another King (as in Du I Stinq) and the manager wound up getting the haircut (a big chunk of hair was cut from the left side of his head).
The main event was one of the best in many years with Matt Hyson and B.G. James defeating Sal Sincere and Simon Diamond.  As soon as the introductions were made, fans started chanting "we want tables" and James told them that their opponents only use tables for one thing...that's eating too much food (again, get the video on this one).  The former Road Dogg actually put Sincere through a table while Hyson and Diamond were wrestling throughout the fan sections.
Congratulations to NWS management for their creativity on this spectacular event.

Detailed NWA Upstate Results from the Ontario County Fair in Canandaigua, New York (7/25):

"Fabulous" John McChesney successfully defended his NWA Upstate No Limits title in the return of the Six Way Free For All by pinning Mark Kreiger. Also involved in the match were Gabe Saint, Colin Olsen, D to the Icky and Nick Parisi.

The McClouds defeated two masked wrestlers(El Platuno & El Diablo)

NWA Upstate Kayfabe Dojo champion Eric Everlast then hit the ring, running down Ontario County & Canandaigua, claiming that the town was full of losers, and issued an open challenge to anyone from the city. Canandaigua's own and member of the Roadies, VanAtlas, accepted the challenge. VanAtlas had the title won, however due to outside interference from Rhythm & Booze, Everlast was able to retain his title. R and B & Everlast beat down VanAtlas until The Roadies (Sammy & Dave) came in for the save.

In the match of the night we saw former Bruise Crew members taking it to each other in one of the hardest hitting Upstate matches ever, as Jimmy Olsen challenged Brodie Lee for the Upstate title. Both men shook hands prior to the match, but as time went on the match got more intense. Both Olsen & Lee had their support from the fans, but following two brutal chops to the face of Jimmy, it was clear that the fans were getting behind the determination of the challenger. With the fans clearly behind him, Jimmy went for it all with a HUGE sunset flip, but amazingly the champion countered with an Oklahoma roll for the 3 count. However, many at ringside and in attendance felt that Jimmy had kicked out prior to the 3 count, but the referee’s decision was final and Lee had retained his title. Despite the questionable ending, the two friends once again met mid ring and shook hands, as the respect between these two continues to grow. Both men were given a round of applause as they left the ring.

The Upstate Dynasty of The Czar with Mookie, Derek Duncum, and Vince Beach with Coconut Jones, purchased the services of one Maximo Suave for the night, took on two thirds of the Upstate six man champions Triple X & Big Cat, along with Roller Girl Synndy and the returning SWEET LOU in a 8 man tag. Synndy was looking for a measure of revenge following the Dynasty's attack on her at Continuing the Tradition '06. As the Dynasty saw the match slipping out of their grasp, Mookie & Coconut distracted Triple X, Big Cat, and Sweet Lou, leading them away from the ring. This left Roller Girl Synndy in the ring all alone with the Dynasty, and they then hit a triple team to put Synndy away and earn the victory. The Dynasty celebrated as if they had won the six man titles, until Big Cat got his hands on Mookie. Big Cat, Triple X & Lou then gave Mookie the nastiest beating of his life. Mookie was sent to rehab following the show, due to unspecified reasons, but we did receive word that his sentence will be for an undetermined amount of time. Everyone at NWA Upstate would like to wish Mookie the best of luck, and hope to see him return to a Rochester wrestling ring, once his health is not in question.

The final match saw the hometown boys of Sammy & Dave, The Roadies, taking on the team that helped Everlast defeat fellow Roadie VanAtlas, Frank the Tank & Buddy Delmar, Rhythm & Booze. It seemed Sammy & Dave had the win in hand following the Dust in the Wind senton, however Eric Everlast returned the favor to R & B and attempted to turn the odds back in their favor. However VanAtlas emerged from the back, and kicked Eric Everlast’s butt all the way to the locker room. Sammy & Dave tried to finish off Buddy & Frank with in stereo sunset flips, but R & B grabbed the ropes, and each other without referee Adam Bloodstone noticing, allowing them to score the double pinfall. R & B stole this huge win from Sammy & Dave in their first ever hometown match. Following the match the two teams brawled until VanAtlas once again returned to take out both Frank & Buddy, then celebrating with Sammy & Dave as the Roadies said thank you to the hometown crowd.
