Results For NWA Cyberspace: No Gimmicks Needed – The Chris Candido Memorial Show

MATCH 1:
SAT defeated All Money Is Legal via pinfall .

**Match Notes - After the match, The SAT continued to challenge promoter, Billy Firehawk, who was sitting ringside as a color commentator. AMIL cleared the ring and challenged SAT for a future rematch.

NWA CS Cruiser-X champion Sonjay Dutt was interviewed by Bill Apter. Sonjay explained his dislike for Elix Skipper stating that he refuses to let Elix use him as stepping stool to get back at his former partner Christopher Daniels. Sonjay then said he would offer Elix a title shot if he could beat Matt Striker tonight. Sonjay proceeded to the color commentators position to watch the match.

MATCH 2:
Matt Striker defeated Elix Skipper via DQ

** Match Notes - Before the match started, Striker began to verbally abuse Firehawk and exploit some “real life” issues and rumors that have been spread around the internet regarding Firehawk and his family. Firehawk picked up and left the ringside area in embarrassment.

The match ended when Sonjay Dutt ran ringside and gave Elix a chair while the referee was down. Matt Striker laid down on the floor and told the referee that Elix had hit him with the chair causing the DQ. Sonjay laughed his way to the back declaring that due to the loss he did not have to offer Elix a title shot.

MATCH 3:
Jazz defeated April Hunter by TKO to win the NWA CS Women's championship.

** Match Notes – Rodney Mack made his way ringside to support Jazz, who ultimately sent April outside the ring. While the referee had his back turned, Mack nailed April in the back of the head with a vicious “loaded” boot. Mack proceeded to roll the unconscious April back into the ring, where Jazz applied April's own “sharpshooter” type move. The referee attempted to ask April if she submits, but received no response, Therefore, the referee called for the bell assuming that April had passed out due to the pain and declared Jazz the new champion by TKO.

MATCH 4:
Josh Daniels defeated Mike Kruel via pinfall to retain the NWA CS Internet Title.

**Match Notes – Perhaps the most astonishing showcase of technical wrestling in Cyberspace history which will go down as a classic! In what fans did not see backstage, Kruel's fellow Youngbludz members Matt Stirker and The SAT viciously attacked Daniels. It has been reported that Daniels suffered an arm injury after being tied up and struck with a metal chair. Ironically, after the attack, Kruel challenged Daniels to a championship submission match at Cybercade 2! More news to come!

**Before intermission, an emotional video tribute produced by Billy Firehawk was played via projector for the audience.

MATCH 5:
Sonjay Dutt defeated Sharkboy, Chris Hamrick and Nick Berk in a four way elimination match to retain the NWA CS Cruiser-X title.

**Match Notes – Berk eliminated first; Hamrick eliminated second. Sharkboy hits Sonjay with his finisher while the referee was knocked down. While Sharkboy goes to wake up the referee, Sonjay rolls out and snatches a “Sharkboy and Lava Girl” poster attached to a 2x4 piece of wood from a ringside fan. Elix runs out to the ring and pulls the weapon away from Sonjay. Elix attempts to hit Sonjay, but the champion ducks and Sharkboy accidentally gets hit instead. Dutt dropkicks Elix out of the ring and covers Sharkboy to retain the title.

After the match, Elix attempts to help out and apologize to Sharkboy who doesn't want to hear any of it, and the end up brawling. We can expect to see these two collide down the road.

MATCH 6:
Rodney Mack defeated Slyck Wagner Brown by DQ

**Match Notes – Slyck wasted no time retaliating against the attack on April Hunter earlier. He rushed the ring and immediately began brawling with Rodney Mack. In a relatively short match (if you can even consider it being a “real” match as opposed to a brawl), the end saw Slyck's anger get the best of him as he attacked Mack with a chair. NWA CS management officials have decided that since this rivalry has gotten too heated for authority, Brown and Mack will square off in “Street Fight” at Cybercade 2! Slyck has already made it clear that this match will NOT end in the ring. As a matter of fact, he predicts the match will end OUTSIDE of the building!!!!

MATCH 7:
All Money is Legal defeated Julio Dinero & Mo Sextyn to win the NWA CS Tag Team Titles

**Match Notes – This title has been filled with nothing but CONTROVERSY! Earlier last week, NWA CS management was notified that co-holder of the tag team titles, CM Punk was relinquishing his half of the championships as his career was moving onto the WWE. This scenario left Dinero without a partner and little hope. Ironically, original challengers The Solution were caught up in traffic and unable to get to the arena by the time the was scheduled to start. NWA CS management was forced to find new challengers immediately.

Although The SAT had won their match earlier that evening and would have been the obvious choice, they stormed out of the building after the attack on Josh Daniels, leaving All Money Is Legal as the only tag team left in the building.

Dinero attempted to defend the titles on his own and started the match as a handicap match. But while stuck in a compromising position, he found himself looking for a tag in an empty corner. Much to the crowd surprise, Mo Sextyn rushed to the ring to support Dinero and even the sides. Unfortunately, Dinero was knocked to the outside and Sextyn caught in a double team finish where AMIL became new tag team champions.

After the match, Dinero blamed Sextyn for the title loss and began to attack him until the new champions made the save. Dinero vs. Mo is a feud in the making! But it didn't end there. John Shane made his way to the ring and issued a challenge to AMIL arguing that it should have been The Solution being crowned new tag champions.

NWA CS management has decided that AMIL will infact defend the titles against The Solution at Cybercade 2…BUT FIRST, they have to defend the titles against the team that beat them earlier in the evening, The SAT, on July 30th at Shockwave!

MATCH 8:
Jeff Jarrett (w/ Abyss and Mr. Daggett) defeated Michael Shane (w/ Tracy Brooks) via pinfall to retain the NWA CS Heavyweight title

**Match Notes – Abyss' interference helped Jarrett retain the title, but it was after the match that saw the fireworks! With Michael Shane down and out, Jarrett ordered Abyss to black hole slam Tracy Brooks – but much to everyone's surprise, Abyss refused, not wanting to attack a woman. The order being disobeyed infuriated Jarrett who got nose to nose (almost) with the monster, and proceeded to shove and slap him around. Abyss pushed Brooks down to the ground where she hit Jarrett with a low blow and a recovered Michael Shane hit the superkick, while Abyss walked away from the ring.

**NWA CS promoter Billy Firehawk and Director of Operations Derek Gordon introduced Tammy Lynn Sytch for a VERY emotional and tear jerking tribute. Tammy was presented with an “Icons of wrestling” award in Chris' name and a check for $2,500. Tammy announced that she would keep Chris' spirit alive in Cyberspace by bringing in and managing Billy Gunn and The Naturals!

NWA CS management is currently working on arrangements, and tentatively Gunn is scheduled to debt in August and The Naturals are scheduled to arrive in September. More info will be coming soon.

MATCH 9:
Mana defeated Abyss in an unsanctioned Last man Standing Match

**Match Notes – Notes will not do this match any justice. This match is MUST SEE! Their first battle was an encounter of epic proportions…. Their dog collar match was a bloodfest….But this last man standing match was pure SUICIDE!

From absorbing shots from a staple gun, to being mutilated by 10,000 thumbtacks, to a 20 foot choke slam from the top of the stationary camera platform lift into double stacked tables, it is amazing that both men are still alive!

The match ended when both men tried to answer the 10-count, but Jeff Jarrett made his way issued the final blow by breaking a guitar over Abyss' head allowing Mana to make it to his feet with only one second left, in what many compare to the ending of the Rocky Balboa/Apollo Creed fight in Rocky II… (only Jeff Jarrett wasn't in Rocky II).

This is the match that tore the roof off and burnt the house down! In the coming weeks, there will be exclusive backstage gruesome footage of Mana receiving medical attention after the match. As for Abyss, he will now challenge Jeff Jarrett for the NWA CS heavyweight title on August 21 st at Cybercade 2! The contract signing will happen at Shockwave on July 30.
