Just received this information from Brad McFarlin:
Ricky "Crusher" Cortez, (Ricardo Bermudez Cortez) a Detroit based wrestler in the 50's, 60's, and 70's passed away on Sunday from a sudden heart attack. He was 83.
Cortez was perhaps best known for a 1960's match with a then young Bruno Sammartino at Detroit's Olympia Stadium.
He was an avid body builder in his early days, and one of his gym friends was Dick "Mr. Michigan" Garza who later became the Mighty Igor.
