- As we all know by now, Kevin Steen's Ring of Honor contract expires at the end of the month. He will be taking a break from ROH for the foreseeable future. There has never been - and there never will be another Kevin Steen. As a reflection of all that Steen has meant to Ring of Honor - to the locker room and the fans - Nigel McGuinness has decided to allow him to hand select his opponents for his remaining ROH matches. Kevin Steen sent us the above interview last week regarding Nigel's offer in case you missed it.

- Recently, the NEW ROH World Champion "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin challenged any former ROH World Champions to step up and face him for his newly won title. Roderick Strong immediately stepped up and insisted that no other former ROH champion is more qualified to receive a title shot than him. Recently, Strong has focused his efforts on The Decade and humbling the up and comers of ROH. But before that, he spent some time in the House of Truth with one Michael Elgin... and Strong was ROH World Champion! Now the tables have turned and Roderick Strong wants to answer Elgin's challenge first. Match Maker Nigel McGuinness considered Strong's demands and Elgin's open challenge carefully and decided Strong WILL get a shot at Elgin's title on July 18th in Cincinnati, OH! This will be Elgin's very first title defense as he's leading a team to Six Man War THIS Saturday in Minnesota. After all that work and sacrifice, could Elgin's reign become nothing more than a footnote while Roderick Strong becomes a legendary two time champion? - Michael Elgin is clearly on a mission to go down in wrestling history and has also told Nigel that he wants everyone to be a contender. Elgin wants the non-contenders to be put into positions to become contenders overnight.

- This summer was to see the return of Forever Hooligans to Ring of Honor in the tag team division but unfortunately, Alex Koslov suffered a shoulder injury during New Japan Pro Wrestling's Best of the Super Juniors Tournament just weeks ago. The injury forced him to withdraw from the tournament and all his upcoming matches until this injury has healed.  While all of Ring of Honor was extremely disappointed in this development and wishes Alex Koslov a speedy, safe recovery, we are excited at the prospect of some unique singles opportunities for Rocky Romero! And one of Romero's upcoming opponents is a former champion himself...the most recent ROH World Champion, ADAM COLE! - July 19th in Dearborn will also see the first one-on-one encounter between ACH and Tadarius Thomas since their team split ways back in April. The tension will be high in this one!

- Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian said that after BEST IN THE WORLD 2014 they realized they are addicted to the best competition in the world. reDRagon proved to be the better team on that night and Daniels & Kazarian are on a mission to get a rematch. Daniels & Kazarian will compete for ROH on 7/18 in Cincinnati, 7/19 in Dearborn, 8/9 in Philadelphia, 8/15 in Brooklyn, 8/22 in Milwaukee, 8/23 in Chicago Ridge, and 9/6 in Toronto. ROH officials are in the process of securing more future dates for the team.

- Ring of Honor is returning to Philadelphia for a special TV Taping on August 9th with the last event of the ROH SUMMER HEAT TOUR. Expect a huge match for this event to be announced soon!

- DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR weekend on August 22nd and 23rd in Milwaukee and Chicago Ridge will each have ROH World Championship matches. We know now that the winner of the upcoming 4 Corner Survival at AFTERSHOCK will get an ROH World Title Shot in Milwaukee. Silas Young, Jimmy Jacobs, Matt Taven, or ACH will have an opportunity of a lifetime on 8/22.

- ROH will be holding another two-day tryout camp and seminar on Saturday, July 26th, 2014 and Sunday, July 27th, 2014  at the ROH DOJO in suburban Philadelphia (Bristol, PA). This camp will provide those who attend the opportunity to be seen and evaluated by officials and pro wrestlers from ROH. These seminars continue to receive the highest praise by those who attend and past ROH Try-Outs/Seminars have been the vehicle for us discovering such stars as “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin, Bobby Fish, Matt Taven, Michael Bennett, Tommaso Ciampa, Barrister RD Evans, Hanson and many others. If they were never seen at these camps then they may never have had an ROH opportunity. Each man took the opportunity and ran with it. Countless wrestlers who have attended our camps have appeared on ROH live events as well as television and iPPV.
