……..

August 31st: Here is a clarification of the rules for the AJ Styles vs. Jimmy Rave match at "Glory By Honor IV" on 9/17 in Long Island. The only way to win the match is to hit the Styles/Rave Clash on your opponent. There are no pinfalls or submissions in this match. This makes things very dangerous because someone can apply a submission hold to their opponent and even if they tap and break a bone or suffer some kind of injury the match will continue. There are no rules in this match. It is Anything Goes. The Styles/Rave clash can happen anywhere in the building. The loser of the match will never be able to use the move in ROH again. If they do use the move they are at risk of getting heavily fined and/or fired. Mick Foley will be in Styles' corner to make sure The Embassy does not play the numbers game. There is no telling what will happen when "The Hardcore Legend" Mick Foley is in an anything goes atmosphere. Prince Nana has already stated that Jade Chung will be sent to Ghana as he wants to keep her away from Foley after what happened on 8/20. The Styles vs. Rave feud will be settled in a match 14 months in the making!!!

August 31st: Former ROH World and Pure Champion Samoa Joe seems to be at a crossroads of his ROH career. Joe is extremely distraught at losing the Pure Title under controversial circumstances to Nigel McGuinness last Saturday in Buffalo. Joe doesn't seem to know what direction his ROH career will take him next. Right now Joe is focusing on "Survival Of The Fittest" and his huge matches against Kenta Kobashi. We'll have more on this story next week in the ROHwrestling.com Newswire.

August 31st: Meanwhile Nigel McGuinness has gotten even more cocky and is showing signs of having a big ego after defeating Joe for the Pure Title. McGuinness insists that his winning the Pure Title proves that the European style is the superior style of wrestling. McGuinness has been going around telling people that he is the best pure wrestler in the
world and no one will be able to beat him in matches held under Pure Title rules.

August 31st: The search for the new authority figure in ROH has picked up. There is now a list of about 10 people that are under consideration. ROH is actually going to fly some of these candidates to the ROH offices and conduct interviews before making a final decision. This will be similar to the interviewing process a sports franchise goes through when looking for a new head coach. The list of candidates ranges from legends to current stars to men with office experience in other promotions. We will keep you posted right here in the ROHwrestling.com Newswire.

August 31st: Austin Aries has gone into intense training for "Survival Of The Fittest" on September 24th when ROH finally returns to the Boston area. Aries came close to winning "Survival Of The Fittest" last year only to be the final elimination at the hands of Bryan Danielson in a classic match. Aries had a taste of what it was like to win, now he wants to be the ultimate survivor.

August 31st: Lacey has been making some moves behind the scenes in ROH. She is looking to strengthen Lacey's Angels to make a big impact in the fall.

August 31st: Bobby Cruise is back with is latest column. Check it out on the main page of ROHwrestling.com.

August 31st: Don't forget that "Final Battle 2005" will be in Edison, NJ this year. Tickets are on sale now and are already off to a fast start.

August 31st: ROH officials had several conference calls in the past few days with upcomers like Jerrelle Clark, Sal Rinauro, Adam Pearce and Claudio Castagnoli. They were told that this is their time to make their spot in ROH. Things are going to be very competitive for spots in ROH as the above mentioned competitors, Matt Sydal, students from the ROH Wrestling School like Davey Andrews and others will be given opportunities to earn full time spots. This means that some guys might be cut from the roster especially when you consider that ROH is in talks for some talents to return like Tony Mamaluke among others and new talents to come in like Jimmy Yang. It is this competition that brings the "No Limits" attitude to ROH as everyone knows that they can't have an off night and that they must always perform at the top of their game. This fall is going to be more intense than ever!!!

August 31st: Full Impact Pro returns to action this weekend in Florida with a big double shot. This will be a historic weekend as Homicide has a chance to make it past the one year mark as FIP Heavyweight Champion. The list of athletes that Homicide has defeated in his FIP Title reign include CM Punk, AJ Styles, Rocky Romero, BJ Whitmer, James Gibson, Spanky, Antonio Banks, Steve Madison, Tony Mamaluke, Colt Cabana, Azrieal and Austin Aries. Homicide's FIP Title matches have seen every style of wrestling from wild brawls into strip clubs to strong style action to back-and-forth classics to mat clinics. Homicide has quietly put together one of the best title reigns over the past year of anyone in the entire wrestling business. Now Homicide will face his toughest challengers on B.Y.O.B. (Big Year One Bash) this weekend.

August 31st: This Friday night in Arcadia, FL will see Homicide defend the FIP Heavyweight Title vs. ROH Pure Champion Nigel McGuinness, James Gibson defends the ROH World Title vs. Roderick Strong and Spanky & Sal Rinauro defend the FIP Tag Titles vs. a team from Dave Prazak's DP Associates. Also on the events are Tony Mamaluke, Jay Lethal, Jerrelle Clark, Steve Madison, Jay Fury, Azrieal, The Heartbreak Express and more. Check FullImpactPro.com for all the info.

August 31st: Production is just beginning on all the August events. ROH just finished its most ambitious schedule ever with eight shows in July and August. The ROH staff and wrestlers really enjoyed the schedule and we hope that we are always this busy.
