Pre-Show Matches

1.  "Chicago's Favorite Homeboy" Alex SUGARFOOT~! Payne & Bobby Dempsey defeated Johnny Dynamo & Rhett Titus when Dempsey hit the Dempsey Valley Driver (or Death Valley Dempsey) on Dynamo for the win.  After the match Sugarfoot got on Dempsey's shoulders to celebrate their triumphant win, only to hit the top of the ROH ramp light setup.

2.  Team Underground (Chandler McClure & Eric Priest) defeated Ernie Osiris & Mitch Franklin with a nice double team maneuver.

Main Show Matches

ROH Ring Announcer and former WWE Internet Heat Ring Announcer Bobby "Smoove" Cruise announced Matt Sydal injured his knee last night in the match with Austin Aries & Roderick Strong and won't be wrestling tonight.  Colt Cabana hit the ring to start the main show, he started by asking the crowd "how are you doing?"  He talked about a "certain high heel" that went "into his junk" by someone (Lacey) with a "certain venereal disease."  Cabana gave us a status, "special activity is ok, but urination-not so much."  He called out Jimmy Jacobs "I might not have all my testacies but I'm calling you out."  They brawled.  Lacey came in and did the testicale claw to Cabana.  Daizee Haze ran in and hit a thesz press, her HEART PUNCH~! and a beautiful dropkick to Lacey's head.  Jimmy Jacobs went after Daizee Haze but BJ Whitmer got to Jimmy before he could get to Daizee.  Of course, Bryan Danielson, Jimmy Rave & Shingo ran down, followed by Nigel and EL CAPITAN~! Delirious.  Jimmy Jacobs ended up bleeding quite nicely from the side of the head, as the heels retreated and the main event elimination match set for later on tonight.  Cabana said each guy had an issue with a member of Team Danielson, including Colt who had an issue with Shingo's glorious mullet.  Jimmy took off his studded belt and attempted to go after Whitmer and Cabana but Team Captain Bryan Danielson told him to knock off such shenanigans as he send his team to the back.  Good angle to set up the main event.

1.  The "Vastly Popular" Ace Steel rolled up Tank Tolland in 8:25 as Tolland attempted his fireman's carry into a spine buster finisher.  Good opener, Ace told Tank "I didn't fail the wellness program" as the crowd chanted to "beat that dick."  Decent back and forth, the crowd which was alive all night long (unlike last night) did a "yay" every time Steel hit a elbow, and "boo" every time Tank hit an elbow.  They had an elbow war, people were happy.  At one point Ace did Brock Lesnar's old Brock Lock finisher.  He then went outside for a springboard move, but Tank caught him after the jump into the firemans carry and Ace, being the savy and sexy ring veteran he was rolled Tank up for the win.  The crowd did a "don't come back" chant at Tank.  No offense to Tank, he's jacked and has a good look, but this weekend he failed to impress.

2.  Six men mayhem:  Jake Crist (the blonde of Irish Airborne) defeated CJ Otis, Dave Crist, Kikutaro, Pelle Primeau and Trik Davis in a 6 Man Mayhem match, when he pinned CJ Otis after the Doublestomp DVD Combo with knee breaker with his brother Dave in 8:20.  Good match, highlights were CJ Otis who was very crisp in his offense (including a beautiful catch German as Trik Davis tried to go under his legs)and selling, and Kikutaro who is fucking hilarious.  While in a wrist lock he asked the referee "May I give up."  He then did his best Ric Flair impression, including the strut, the chop, and the getting caught on the top rope-shaking his head no and being thrown off the top.  He also channeled WWE Superstar Hakushi with a lovely Praying Rope Walk only to crotch himself half way.   Another funny was when Trik Davis (who unfortunately was not wearing his Zeus Pants tonight) was in the corner Kikutaro would run into it, and meet up with Trik's boot.  He said one more time, and threw hated referee Todd Sinclair into Trik.  He hit the shining wizard on Trik for two.  Kikutaro criticized the referee saying "you too slow."  Dives to the outside by the airborne in stereo, Kikutaro gorilla pressed Pelle into everyone and teased a dive, but he just slapped the airborne hard on their back.  Then Otis was in there with the Airborne when he was pinned.  Sadly, young Pelle did not get the win and more importantly was not able to crowd surf back to Alaska after the match.  However, Top Of The Class trophy holder Shane Hagadorn came down and got mic time.  He told Pelle to "get up" and shake his hand.  He talked abou beating him everywhere and tonight would not be any different, he ordered Pelle to "shake his hand" when Adam Pearce came from behind and whipped him with the strap for the Chicago strap match with Homicide later tonight.  They stomped a mudhole into young Double P, hitting a spike piledriver.   Pearce got on the mic asked "if I could have another minute of your time" to the sound of boos.  He asked Homicide to get his "Puerto Rican ass" into the ring.  Homicide got his entire Puerto Rican body (and ass into the ring) and Pearce threw his man servant (or butler) Hagadorn at Homicide.

3.  Homicide defeated Shane Hagadorn in 1:42 after a cop killa.  Yup.  After the match, Pearce (who only came into the ring for a few minutes before running right back out) grabbed Hagadorn like a mother would grab her young child and took him to the back.  Homicide called Pearce a "punk bitch."  He then took Pearce's strap and threw it at him saying "THIS SHIT IS WEAK"  He said he saw a cage in the truck and suggested a steel cage match for this evening.  Crowd loved this and Pearce was great as an old school chickens*** heel who got the heat.

4.  Samoa Joe defeated Mark Briscoe in 9:58 following a Musclebuster and a Kobashi like lariat. Awesome match.  Many people online have criticized Joe and TNA guys for not giving their all at certain shows, I can say after this weekend that Mr. Joe worked his ass off and put on two very different and very entertaining matches.  Mark sans teeth is very Kawada-esque.  At one point Mark complained to the referee that Joe was "pulling on his gum."  Decent back and forth, Joe gave Mark lots of offense and they really beat the hell out of one another.  Joe did a nice ab stretch and grabbed Mark's leg and pulled him back even ore.   He whipped Mark into the corner and did a sweet running engizuri.  Briscoe came back and hit a beautiful back suplex and a springboard frog splash for two, Joe hit a larieto, and went for the powerbomb/STF combo.  In a nice twist Mark hurracanranaed Joe, only to have Joe roll thru and hit the STF afterall.  A few minutes of Briscoe offense, Mark went to the top rope.  As he was perched there, Joe hit a harsh "that might have chipped another of his teeth" slap, another super high engizurri and the muscle buster.  Joe pulled him up during the pin attempt only to hit the Kobashi like lariat for the win.  After the match, Joe called out Pro Wrestling NOAH, saying "NOAH, this is my message to you.  Ring of Honor is right here!  Come get some!"  He talked about his challenge to NOAH when Nigel McGuinness came out, saying if Joe had a problem with NOAH, he had a problem with him.  "Joe, I got all the respect in the world for you, but I don't like you talking shit."  He then said and I quote "you got your ass kicked in zero-one."  OH~!  "If you have a problem with NOAH, you have a problem with me sunshine.  I'm right here."  Nigel then said something else and used another "sunshine" (a word that makes terrific promos outstanding ones).  Joe told Nigel "I tell you what frenchy (?), you got a deal."  Good segment leading up to a NOAH vs. ROH showdown next year, which I am sooooo in favor for (along with getting the Briscoes to MAN UP Japan).

OK, it's 5:30am, I'm tried so this is going to be continued later tomorrow…but heres a rough summary of everything else.

5.  Austin Aries & Roderick Strong defeated Christopher Daniels & Matt Cross (with Allison Danger and an injured Matt Sydal) in 18:51 after Aries pinned Cross after the 450.   Excellent match, Cross again looked phenomenal and great finish with a tease of a top rope Angel's wings by Christopher Daniels before Aries hit the 450 after Cross was the recipient of Strong's Alabama (shouldn't it be Florida) slam after a sweet Aries kick to Cross' noggin.  After the match Aries shook everyone's hand but Matt Sydal who even when injured was a cocky prick in holding up the title and I believe sniffing it (don't ask).  Strong & Aries again are an outstanding team and their double teams only compliment their great individual talents.

6.  Steel Cage Match:  Homicide defeated "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce in 15:23 after an ace crusher off the top rope and a lariat in a very good bloody match.  The legendary ghetto fork came into play here, but both guys got busted open, and the leather strap was used as a weapon afterall.  Crowd was very into this including another "fork (referee Todd) Sinclair" who took the Fork away from Homicide earlier in the match, only to get elbowed accidently by Pearce. Homicide went over to make sure Sinclair was ok.  Someone in the crowd threw in what appeared to be a plastic spork, this got a huge pop.  Homicide got the fork and went to town.  Fine fine match, nice and bloody.

7.  In an incredible match, Jay Briscoe defeated Davey Richards in 15:12 after the Jay Driller.  This was something else as both guys showed a lot here.  Davey (who again tonight showed further evidence of charisma) right ear and head got busted legit.  Guys traded moves the entire match, Davey hit an awesome hand spring engizurri, Jay hit the running yakuza kick after Davey missed his shooting star press, then hit a Michinoku driver as Davey tried to superplex him, and finally the Jay driller for the pin.

8.  Elimination match:  Delirious, BJ Whitmer, Colt Cabana & Nigel McGuinness defeated Bryan Danielson, Jimmy Jacobs, Jimmy Rave & Shingo in an 8 Man Elimination match at 32:59 when Delirious made the ROH World Heavyweight Champion tap to the cobra stretch.  Outstanding and without a doubt the match of the night.  The pop when Delirious made Bryan tape was tremendous and the last five minutes show why Delirious is the breakout character of 2006.

Order of elimination
Jimmy Jacobs – disqualified for beating on BJ Whitmer's ankle with a chair at 8:47
BJ Whitmer – submitted to Jimmy Rave's heel hook on his ankle at 9:40
Nigel McGuinness - submitted to Jimmy Rave's heel hook on his ankle at 15:32
Shingo – pinned by Colt Cabana after a sunset flip at 17:58
Colt Cabana – pinned by Jimmy Rave with a rollup after Danielson kicked him low as Colt had him in his Colt 45 backbreaker at 19:07
Jimmy Rave – pinned by Delirious at 26:00 after the Chemical Imbalance II (Double pump handle reverse piledriver)
Bryan Danielson – submitted to Delirious' cobra stretch in 32:59

Early going saw lots of hot tags by the heelish side.  Cabana asked the referee to check Shingo's mullet, which he did.  Later the heels would stroke his mullet for good luck or well hidden weapons.  Match started nicely with Team Danielson taking advantage but broke down around 7 minutes in.  Jimmy Jacobs (who came to the ring still bloody from the start of the show) took out his spike and attempted to attack Cabana. Cabana knocked the spike out of his hands, and Whitmer picked it up. He tried to stab Jacobs in the head, but hit Lacey (who was on the apron) instead. They instantly covered her up with a t-shirt and took her backstage, Jacobs (who was great this weekend as the angry man) came back with the chair and attacked Whitmer. A few minutes later Rave used his heel hook submission to eliminate Whitmer. Nigel came in, he was moving much better then he was last night, he hit his beautiful signature graceful and stiff moves including the outstanding Pendulum Lariat.  Danielson and Rave took turns beating on Nigel's bad leg.  A few minutes later Rave then made McGuinness submit to the heel hook again tonight.  The bad guys double teamed Cabana but he sunset flipped over Shingo to get the pin and eliminate Japan's greatest non-Tenzan mullet.  Match was now two on two.  Colt put Jimmy in the Chicago Crab, as Delirious put Danielson in the cobra stretch.  Jimmy went to the ropes but was pulled back by Colt.  Colt then attempted the Colt 45, and Danielson kicked him low causing Rave to be able to pin him.  Finally it was handicapped as Delirious vs. Rave & Danielson.  They double teamed on the masked man, including one part when Rave had a hold on Delirious by Danielson's corner, Delirious grabbed the ropes and Rave wouldn't let go.  Danielson told the referee "I have til five referee."  More taunting including Danielson's awesome Rick Rude hip swivel.  He told Rave to finish this thing."  Jimmy hit a superplex for two, and put on the heel hold.  Delirious was able to get out of it and somehow hit his Chemical Imbalance II for the elimination.  It came down to two men, as Danielson had beaten Delirious three times this year in title matches.  Crowd was electric, sure Danielson was a great wrestler but could Delirious possibly pull up the upset here?  Dragon got a near fall with a full nelson with bridge suplex for two.  He hit the chicken wing submission and pulled Delirious to the middle.  Delirious got to the rope.  They traded near falls, back suplexes rollups, elbows.  During the elbow exchange, the crowd did the same "Yay" and "Boo" each time either Delirious or Danielson hit the elbow (like the first match of the main show).  Delirious attempted a flying elbow off the ropes, but Danielson caught him mid air and put on the cattle mutilation.  After 30 long seconds, Delirious reached the ropes.  Danielson (who was very over with half the crowd which hates him for his personality but loves his wrestling) went back to elbows to the side of the head.  More near falls, they reversed each other, more elbows, and a back suplex by Danielson for another two.  Danielson got behind Delirious and tried to finish him off with elbows to the head, but there was another rope break.  It seemed bleek for young Delirious especially after an under hook suplex with a bridge for two.  Bryan attempted the cattle mutilation for the kill, but Delirious rolled thru and hit the Chemical Imbalance #2 (I believe) and applied the cobra stretch, after a few attempts to escape and a near fall by Danielson by trying to move his legs over Delirious, Delirious finally got it on mid ring for the submission win.  Wow.  Incredible finish to an outstanding night of action.  Much better then night one in terms of crowd, matches and flow of the show.  Afterwards, Delirious celebrated as the crowd reaction was outstanding.  He proceeded to come towards me, and well, steal my t-shirt.  I put up a gallant effort to make keep my top on - but to no avail  There are pictures of me shirtless on the F4Wonline boards.  It's not as bad as those Britney photos from last week, although keep in mind I am not an athlete, and I'm very sorry I didn't shave my back.   Anyway good show, the change in the matches because of Sydal's made the show much better.
