….

Rob Van Dam joined us on the Pain Clinic this Saturday March 1st.
We started off talking about the origins of RVD TV. Rob talks about
what fans will see. Especially all his celebrity friends that make
appearances. He talk about some deep topics with Rob and his
friends. Rob even does some stand-up comedy too.

We ask Rob about the news that Amy Winehouse is a fan of his.
He would love to have her on RVD TV. Rob prides himself on
being genuine and that's important to him and how he appears
on RVD TV. Paul Heyman wants to do an episode of the
"Heyman Hustle" on RVD TV.

Rob talks about the repercussions of his broken ankle that he had
while he was in ECW. He feels ECW's quality was lowered with
his absence. Rob felt ECW's fate was sealed before that injury.
Rob talks about ECW going to TNN and the struggles of the business.

Rob's stiff style is talked about. Jerry Lynn stated that Rob was one
of the stiffest opponent he ever faced. Rob talked about his training
with the Sheik and how it was stiff to look real.

Rob talks about joining the WWF and the fans reaction to his debut.
He feels that people in the WWF didn't give the fans of ECW any
credit. He was told that he was wrestling in front of 1000's not the
smaller ECW crowd and that he wouldn't get the big reaction. Of
course the WWE was proven wrong with Rob's first appearance.

RVD comments on the Floyd Mayweather Jr. 20 million dollar pay
day for Wrestlemania 24. Rob talks about the WWE promoting
everyone over him though he was getting great reactions from the
fans. He talks about how the guys in the locker room may be
bummed by Mayweather's pay day. Rob talks about getting bumped
from a Wrestlemania for the Miller Lite Girls. Rob says "as burned
out as I have been by wrestling, just knowing what you told makes
me even more burned out at the moment."

Rob talks about the long term plans with him holding the WWE
Championship and ECW Championship simultaneously. He talks
about never knowing what was happening everytime he
entered the arena. He talks about the degradation of the ECW
brand and what the WWE and Vince had "originally" planned for
the brand.

Vince putting the ECW Title on himself was covered next. Rob
shot on what he thought about Vince winning it during a 'live'
promo and the shock the WWE staff were in after what he said.

Rob talks about the Van Terminator and Shane McMahon doing
it at Wrestlemania before Rob joined the WWE. Rob said that
many wrestlers take others moves. Rob said he's surprised more
guys haven't taken his moves.

Rob talks about the 'original' ECW closing up shop and losing money
owed to him. Rob made good money but never got the revenue
from videos and action figures. He did get a few bouncing checks
like everyone else.

Raw's 15 Anniversary appearance by RVD was looked at. Rob
said nothing changed but he was happy to see a few guys. It
was just another night for most wrestlers but he was in for one
night. He talks about his match with Santino. He had a good time
and he's open to doing again.

Sabu's recent hip injuries were talked about and Rob told us about
how he's doing.

"I don't have the passion or desire whatsoever to pursue it as an art
right now" is where Rob stands on the business currently. He hasn't
really enjoyed wrestling since 2001. Towards the end he was very
burned out. ECW's resurrection helped Rob stay longer but the destruction
of ECW killed his passion. If we see him in the ring again it will be money
based. He can't give anything but 100% everytime. Wrestling is 100%
business for him right now.

Rob talks about his Myspace blog. He talks about RVD TV and said every
week their is a new episode. Rob's blog is something he is working
on all the time. His blogs are great reads and he talks about how people's
perspective may be changed about him due to his thoughts. He strives
to inspire people and he certainly does!

Rob talks about working with Al Snow early in his career, his thoughts on
being a motivational speaker and his future!
