Hi Georgie, I wanted to add to the post from Jeremy, My wife and I were at the signing as well. We both commented that it seemed like Jake didn't really want to be there or that he had somewhere more important to be. When we were in line to get our pictures taken with him, he seemed like he was rushing everyone along. When we got our items signed, he seemed uninterested in anything that we had or anybody else had to sign.
Later on he was kind of goofing around with some of the people by "Mooning" one lady taking pictures but also to give him some credit; it did appear that he might not have felt well. There were a couple times that he had to step outside to get some air. We still respect Jake as a wrestler and are glad that he made the appearance because I would never have imagined meeting him. He was one of my all-time favorite heels.
I also want to add that this event is one of the better ways to watch the PPV because you get dinner, the PPV and you get to meet a wrestler; not bad in my opinion for $40.00 for 2 people. Thank you for your time.

This last weekend, I went to 2 autograph signings and an independent
wrestling show.

First off - I went to Indianapolis, IN for HorrorHound Weekend and met
"Rowdy" Roddy Piper.
Piper is probably about the nicest guy I have met.... very easy to
talk to & genuinely seemed interested in what I had to say.
I got my DVD set signed by him and I asked if he would put me in the
sleeper hold. Instantly his "people" were laughing and were saying,
"no, no, no", but Piper kinda smirked and said that when his line died
down, I could come back over & he would do it for me. I asked,
"Really?" and he assured me, "Yeah. I give you my word."

I walked away and made a few laps around the rest of the convention -
waited, his line never died & I still had to sign in at my hotel, so I
left, checked in at the hotel, and came back. The convention didn't
end until 7pm - it was only 5, when I walked back in Piper's line was
empty.... and there was no Roddy Piper to be found. I asked his
"people" if he was coming back and they said no, that he was done for
the day, and that he would probably be back tomorrow - but they didn't
know when for sure.

I knew, from this site, that he was supposed to do a Piper's Pit at
the EWF show in Marion, IN @ 8pm. So, I drove there to see him in
action.
The show wasn't bad by any means - I had a great time. Piper's segment
was short and sweet and he got a wonderful reaction from the crowd.
However, at the end of the show, before the autograph signing was to
take place, the promoter came out & said that he messed up. He said
that he had paid Piper in the back right after his Pit segment, and
that Piper told him he was "going to the Circle K and I'll be right
back". Piper didn't come back and some of the fans were upset enough
that they wanted to drive around & try to find him, themselves.

I didn't go back to the HorrorHound Convention the next day because I
only had the Saturday pass & didn't want to pay to get in to it again
- not knowing for sure if Piper was gonna be there or anything. But,
the time that I did get to spend meeting him - he was 100% gentleman
and just completely awesome!

The second autograph signing was in Fenton, MO at the Stratford Bar &
Grill, during the Survivor Series PPV.

Jake "The Snake" Roberts - who is a really tall in person (didn't
really expect that, to be honest) seemed almost to busy to be bothered
with this appearance.
Jake was cool, for the most part, in taking pictures with everyone -
but when I was up there, it was like I didn't even exist. I really got
no recognition that I was even present. I usually come up & shake
their hand, ask some questions or something... but, I didn't even get
acknowledged. I had a handshake request completely ignored after I
snapped a pic with him (that I paid for) and when I asked how he was
doing or something to that effect, he just took what I brought for him
to sign, signed it quickly, and passed it back across the table
without saying a word. Kind of like a "here ya go .... and next!?"
sorta thing. It's not like there were a lot of people there - I would
say 50 or so, so he wasn't all THAT busy. It doesn't change my opinion
of him as a wrestler - but, I'm just a little disappointed that he
wasn't as friendly as I thought he could have been.

Overall, not a bad weekend and I got to meet a WWE Hall of Famer & a
guy that should be in the H.O.F. sooner than later.

Here are a couple pics.....   - Jeremy
