Wrestle Fan Fest 2007
Well everyone has asked for my opinion my thoughts about what was FF 07....
Well I Caught my flight out of Memphis, it was me, mute & my sister...I Wrestled a Show in Nashville, left there and went straight to the Memphis Airport to catch our flight, it was at like 4 in the morning YAY!!!!
We had a lay over in Houston, which was only like a hour and half, and I got to fly in right into SF unlike some of the other boys...
So we got there about 11 am in the morning when I got there I ran right into Greg Valentine he was in the lobby with Shannon Ritch, so we sat there and chit chatted for a lil while, that was really kewl hearing some of the stories, well they got us out room, which was really nice, Sheraton had some pretty nice rooms there....
Well went down stairs and just hung out and talked to some of the boys and what not, And then i ran into Chris, who I tried to ask for what the plan was for the weekend, where he wanted me and what he wanted and that sort...Well he was running around with his head cut off, cause he had so many guys calling cancelling, he had Hall & Nash(according to him) asking for more money... Well I could already tell that it was gonna make for a interesting weekend... Then Sean & Phil came in from the Heartbreak Express(from the AWA) they were looking for guys to work the AWA show cuz they had pulled all the worker's they already had in line, so I got on that show too which was really kewl....
Well Friday came, And still no one really had any idea of what they were doing, And Finally when they figured it out, they were trying to figure out how all of us were gonna get there to the show, cause they had these limo's lined up but alot of boys that needed to get going and all....Well Finally We got a cab, it was me Shark Boy, Lance Hoyt and a few other guys...Scott Epstein ended up paying for our cab over there....
Well we got there and there was nothing really prepared, no tables saying this is were you should be, or this is where they want you, you just put your stuff on a random table and you were off and ready to go....Well than they were trying to get a card ready for the show that night, I think it changed like 20 times, It was pretty humbling sitting in the locker room getting changed and having One Man Gang & Slick on one side & Al Snow on the other...I Mean these were guys I watched when I was a kid(sorry guys lol), but we were getting ready and stuff, and I wrestled the INDY Battle Royal 32 guys including Chavo Guerrero & Rock Riddle in it, I worked alot with Chavo in it which was pretty amazing, but also had some idiots in there, trying to do ddt's and suplex's with 30 other guys in the ring, it was stupid, taking out people's legs, Well i got a eliminated and I was off to the back, they put Shannon Ritch(sp) over in the Battle Royal which alot of the guys questioned guys he is a UFC Fighter, and pretty much made the "wrestler's" look bad, in my onion....
Im Gonna Also Make This Point to say that I think Al Snow is the smartest man in this business, people if you want to learn anything that is the man to listen too, if there is anyone who is close to knowing just about everything there is to know, he is your man, you can learn so much just from one conversation...
Well I watched the rest of the show and sorts and finally was waiting for our ride back to the hotel, and I think we waited maybe a hour, so it was me, Al Snow, Larry Zybsko, Chavo Guerrero, Blue Meanie, & Steve Corino on the way back in the limo, Well me & Steve took it apon ourselves to fuck with the air and heat, and than blast the music, which was pretty funny...
Well we Got back, and we were all in the bar, there was a ton of us, and someone mention something about a after party at a Bar, well they filled us in to 2 Shuttles to the Club.... Well this was a start of a big cluster fuck, Well finally we get downtown only for the club to be closed, Cause we weren’t there at the time we were suppose to be, But Chris had stated that he told them we would be there between 9-3 and they were suppose to stay open for us, well that was BS, so we all pilled into the shuttle again which we all thought was gonna leave us there, And Me, Sunny (who looked great), her Bf, Dawn Marie, Orlando Jordan had all really got kinda PO cause we all just wanted to get back to the Hotel, well he made another stop and was talking to this other driver and just caused more of a ruckus....
Well finally we get back to the hotel and we were sitting at the bar just relaxing and drinking, I was listening to stories and it was just a great time....
Well Came Saturday, Were All The Mess Began, There was a big holdout in the lobby cause we were all waiting for our money, and everyone basically decided we weren’t going over unless we got payed, Then Goldberg who was really kewl about it, decided he wasn’t going till we got payed(even though he had got payed in advance) well everything went down they started handed out checks and stuff, that was just the beginning of the downfall, than later we were told that these checks were gonna bounce...And than later on we had our Don Fyre incident, which I didn’t see either one but I know what had happened.... And This Is Also When We Found Out About our own Chris Salisbury ran off with the money and was gone, Well also to find out that he had been lying about everything, He wasn’t a former cop like he told us, & Most Importantly That his last name isn’t even Salisbury, it was Cramer, well it was just getting worse and worse, and we were "threaten" by the hotel, that if the cops were called again they were gonna throw us all out of the hotel, "than Luke had made the joke that there weren’t enough cops to throw us all out"...
And now Enter's ROB, who wants to try and salvage what has become a disaster for most of everyone, He makes his speech in which I think Scott Norton told him to shut up maybe 4 times lol, but kept going and than of Course Sunny pointed out that Sandman had not been on his 8:10pm red eye, Well it was 9:30pm, so there was another problem.... Well Rob wanted to save the day, but at the same time didn’t want to take responsibility for the money or anything, I Will give him credit he was just trying to get the "boys" payed he really was...But he was trying to fix something that was beyond fixable....
Well Saturday night was great for me, I hung out with Shark Boy, Jimmy Snuka, & Dawn Marie, and just sat and listen to the stories, which was AMAZING!!!!!
Sunday morning, AWA show was at 11 o'clock and I was gonna get there at 9am, well I get up and get down stairs and im trying to find our Superman(Rob), and ask him how I was suppose to get over there, Well the Limo's had backed out cause they heard about the check's bouncing and everything...So we really didn’t have way to get to the Cow Palace or anything....Well I ended up having to fork over 40 dollars of my own money to get over there so I could make it in time for the show...Well I get there and im pretty excite not only am I wrestling for the AWA I was wrestling In The Cow Palace again, and that was pretty amazing, considering the story behind the building....
Well I had a really good match, Good To The Fact Mr. Zybsko said it was pretty good, that made my day.....The Crowd was really hot, and seemed to enjoy it too....That show came and went, well than there was the ROH show, which was really good, I watched most of it with Melanie & Tracy(which were really amazing this weekend)... I Got to have my lil mark out moment when I met Adam Pearce, who was a great guy...
Well than it was back to the Hotel for the final night, well it was HELL getting back to the hotel...
Well than I hung out with Meanie & Tracy most of the rest of the night, and just shot the shit..Which I really enjoyed and then handed him the infamous pizza lol, and was off to bed....
Then I took my flight out of SF and handed to Newark than right back to Memphis....
