Former ECW World Heavyweight Champion & the leader of The Triple Threat,
"The Franchise" Shane Douglas, was one of the special guests on the special
Bam Bam Bigelow Tribute Show (which also featured former ECW
official/Monster Factory trainer, Jim Molineaux, as well as one of the men
responsible for the assisting of the Bam Bam/Lawrence Taylor match at
WrestleMania XI/the former Commissioner of World Championship
Wrestling/former manager of The Four Horsemen, J.J. Dillon)this past Monday
night (1/22/07) of Monday Night Mayhem (w/The Big Mosh, Blade, & The Angry
Hero), which can be heard in streaming audio every week (and live at 9PM

Shane's reflection on his friendship with Bam Bam (both in & out of the
squared circle) is now available to hear for free in Real Audio.

Here are some of the highlights from the interview conducted by Brian Kelley
from AudioWrestling.com

=============================================================

*Shane said Bam Bam had a presence that brought a special attitude to
matches that made them "feel more real."

*The Triple Threat was discussed, with some funny road stories of the group.
Shane said it was not uncommon for Bam Bam to buy a ton of fast food when
arriving in a city the night before a show and then unplugging the phone
line in his hotel room, so that the consumption would not be disturbed.
Shane said it was his honor to work with Bam Bam & Chris Candido as The
Triple Threat. Shane said after the original Triple Threat (w/Dean Malenko &
Chris Benoit) broke up, the Triple Threat needed a classic big man to make
the group legit, and Bam Bam gave them that. Shane says ECW was where the
world really got to see the real Scott Bigelow.

*Shane says he will always remember a matchup in ECW with Bigelow vs the
late Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy and how they worked the crowd so well before even
their first lock up in the match, an art that is missing from the business
today.

*Bam Bam was a great father, as Shane got to witness first hand.

*Bigelow was "one of the greatest big men in the history of the business."

*Shane said there has not been a day that has gone by where he hasn't
thought about his good friend Chris Candido, and now he has lost both of his
Triple Threat teammates.

*In addition to Shane's comments on The Mayhem, you can listen to a classic
interview with the late Bam Bam Bigelow, which will be streaming live this
Sunday, January 28th, at 12PM ET on www.Showdown.net

Saturday morning, January 27th, there will be a memorial service at 10AM ET @ The Shore Christian Center:
