We're joined immediately by Rey Mysterio, with Christian in the ring for the Peep Show! Christian mocks Rey and little, and Eddie's music hits to join us, but instead he's backstage, wearing glasses, his new "I'm your Papi!" shirt, and has Eddie's Bedtime Story book. He begins to read Chapter 2, but Rey interrupts constantly. Christian attacks Rey from behind, and gives him the Unprettier, for no apparent reason.
We go to Jillian with her face thing and she bitches. She works by Booker T and Sharmell, and Booker reintroduces the "Tell me..." catchphrase that 6% of us probably remember.
MNM vs. Booker T and Chris Benoit
Benoit beats down on both guys to start. Benoit backbreaker gets 2 on Mercury. We go to commercial. We return with MNM in contorl. They beatdown Chris for a awhile. Nitro goes to the chinlock. Hot tag to Booker T. Bookend on Mercury but Nitro breaks it up. Benoit crossfaces him on the outside. Booker goes for the Scissors but Melina holds onto his legs. Sharmell gets involved, but Jillian takes her down, and all of this lets Mercury pin Booker while holding the ropes. Eh. *1/2
RAW rebound with Carlito vs. Cena
Backstage, Theodore Long books Christian vs. Rey in the main event.
We review Taker vs. JBL
Backstage, Josh Matthews catches up with Orton who promises to answer the questions later.
Contract Signing with Batista and JBL. Batista has short hair. Batista agrees to let JBL pick the stipulation. JBL picks No Holds Barred. There you go.
Backstage, Animal has Heidenreich paints his face.
Heidenreich and Animal vs. Jobbers
Quick squash, finished by Doomsday Device.
Orton comes out and talks down Taker. Taker does his video graphic show, telling Orton he'll RIP.
Backstage, we meet Dominick's mother.
Rey Mysterio vs. Christian
Rey controls the tempo to start, but Eddie and Dominick's mom come out as we go to commercial. We return with Christian in control. He gets a gutbuster, and goes to the abdonial stretch. Rey fights back with a neckbreaker. Christian takes back over though, and knocks Rey around a bit. Rey tries to springboard off the ropes, but Christian catches him with a dropkick for 2. Rey fights back, but Christian takes over with a side bearhug. Rey figthts with dropkicks for 2. Christian continues to control the pace as we go to commercial. We return with Rey getting a DDT for 2. Rey drops the dime for the pin. *1/2
Rey and Eddie get on the mic. Eddie announces he'll be taking Dominick back. Rey is mad, and Eddie reveals that the woman is actually his attorney, not his former lover.
Overall Thoughts: Too much talky, not enough wrestling. Maybe Dusty will fix things?
