ROH results from Montreal, PQ, on November 7, on the first card of the post-Gabe Sapolsky era: Erick Stevens over Eddie Edwards; Mark & Jay Briscoe over Kenny Omega & Kenny King, after King left Omega to fend for himself; Necro Butcher over Brodie Lee by disqualification when Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black entered the ring and attacked Butcher; Jerry Lynn over Delirious; Davey Richards over Roderick Strong, with an assist from Edwards, after which Richards, Edwards and Go Shiozaki beat down Strong, with Stevens coming to the rescue; Bryan Danielson & Austin Aries over Jacobs & Black; and in the four-way elimination for the ROH World Heavyweight Title, El Generico was eliminated first, Shiozaki next, and then Nigel McGuinness retained the title by eliminating Kevin Steen. It should be noted that Steen thought he had won the title, but the referee, who had appeared to counted a pin for Steen, explained McGuinness had kicked out just in time. At that point McGuinness caught Steen off guard and won the match.

After winning gauntlet, an emotional Cross dedicated the match and show to his dad, gave the trophy to his mom, and announced he was retiring tonight (He had just had a newborn on Tuesday and his heart hadn't been in wrestling for a while especially after the passing of his father.) He unlaced his boots and left his boots in the ring as the show ended. Fans and wrestlers gave Cross a standing ovation.
