NEWS and NOTES

Peach State Pandemonium will feature Tito Santana and A.J. Styles tonight at 9:00 PM ET.

Tickets for the following Total Nonstop Action events go on sale tomorrow: January 16 in Dublin, Ireland, at the National Stadium.

The Biography Channel will be broadcasting Randy Couture’s episode tonight at 10:00 PM ET. It will be sandwiched by repeats of Andre the Giant, beginning at 9:00, and Hulk Hogan. It is also scheduled to replay on August 10 at Noon ET, when it will be sandwiched by repeats of Hogan, beginning at 11:00, and the “Unreal Story of Professional Wrestling”.

Bill McMinn, who got his start as a referee when Ray Gunkel was in charge, has learned he has cancer. McMinn was to go for more tests today, and could possibly undergo surgery tomorrow. McMinn moved to Ann Gunkel’s All-South Wrestling Alliance, and continued to referee through the 1970s. He later also worked with Jody Hamilton’s original Deep South promotion in the 1980s. GWH wishes Bill and his family well during this difficult time.

GWH wishes a happy birthday to Jimmy Valiant (66). Today in Memoriam: Bulldog Gannon (46, 1986).
