At Monday night’s tapings for iMPACT, set to air on September 2, Mick Foley had a promo where he thanked Vince McMahon for making it possible for him to be in TNA, where he says he is happy.
Also, they played off the story from last week where Kurt Angle spoke negatively of TNA’s booking practices. Jeff Jarrett did a promo where, for the most part, it was downplayed in regard to how critical Angle’s comments had been, mostly focusing on the part where he mentioned the bond he had with Vince McMahon. They also did a segment where Jim Cornette fined him $25,000. As the tapings were coming to a close, Angle came out and actually said something to the effect of “it looks like I’m not the only one who lost a wife”, leading to a confrontation.
