Smackdown Spoilers from Greensboro, NC........

Thanks to Ed Branscomb for results:

Dark match

'Sly' Grenier over Enchancement Talent No. 1 (missed name) billed from Gbo. by pin
- I havent really paid attention to a Grenier match in some time, but he certainly does have a star look

Velocity
Vito over Enchancement talent No. 2 billed from Greensboro by pin

Doug Basham over Caprice Coleman by pin
- Basham has Bossman type shades, a sparkly Fantastics type jacket, and a liking for calling himself the "Bashman". Coleman recently had a great match with Jerelle Clark in the recent AWA light heavy tournament held locally but didn't get to show much.

Simon Dean over Russell Simpson by pin
- Dean is riding some scooter for old people to the ring now

Scotty 2 Hottie over Regal by DQ after a run in by Paul Birchall

Smackdown

Randy Orton w/Cowboy Bob over Bob Holly via RKO pin
- Went much too long and was boring I felt but the crowd was into Orton and into Holly to a lesser degree, several lengthy headlock spots

A new heel character from "The Network" debuted who was a jock, pretty face, frat boy type guy to be a thorn in Teddy Long's side who came up with the idea of Batista vs. JBL rematch for the first Friday show in 2 weeks.

Peep Show with Booker/Sharmell led to arguments with Christian and Sharmell nagging Booker to return to going after titles before Mexicools attacked and they joined forces to run off both.

Some idiot booker set up a comedy spot where Benoit made a cup of coffee in less time it took than to air the Orlando match from the PPV. Comedy is not Benoit's thing.

Heidenreich over Mercury via quick DQ in a lousy match when Nitro got involved with a chair

Mexicools (Psicosis & Super Crazy) with Juvie only managing over Booker/Christian. Missed part of the finish with a fight in the stands as a distraction, but believe finish was that Booker accidently punched Christian. Christian walked out leaving Booker to be pinned with double back suplex. Christian's heel/face status seems to be unclear still.

Teddy Long set up a lingerie pillow death match between Keebler and Hemme, but the "network guy" ruled the match could not air. Teddy Long had the girls go at it anyway for the live crowd only and Hemme won with a sunset flip out of the corner.

Kevin Kennedy debuted beating Smackdown's No. 1 Announcer Funaki.

Kennedy ragged on Smackdown as Funaki who he said barely spoke English was Smackdown's No.1 announcer. Kennedy's delivery was strong, and he'll probably debuts as the best talker on the roster behind only JBL and Eddy that come to mind. I think a star will be born despite the generic name and that he has basically the same bleached blond with some tattoos look as Holly, Heidenreich, and some others. All of Funaki's brief offense looked great.

Batista, Rey, and Benoit over JBL, Orlando, and Eddy. No explanation aired as to former rivals JBL and Eddy teaming. The three faces were very over but in descending order. Orlando did the job after a 619, German, and Batista Bomb in succession. Earlier, JBL verbally slammed Orlando earlier for losing in 25.5 seconds and he walked away from the ring after being clotheslined over the top by Batista. JBL's back was taped up DDP style. Eddy also disappeared before the finish somehow leaving Orlando on his own. I'd say match was *** to ***1/4.
