Following the match, Joe held out his hand in respect and asked Angle for a rematch, but the Olympian brushed him off and left the ring!

STING LOSES CONTROL DURING MATCH – ABYSS CROWNED NEW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION
A new NWA World Heavyweight Champion was crowned on Sunday night as “The Monster” Abyss defeated Sting to become the new titleholder! The wrestling icon lost the gold due to disqualification after losing control during the match and striking senior referee Rudy Charles. It was a dark side of Sting rarely witnessed by the fans, but it came out in force on Sunday night. The main event battle also saw Sting slammed into the thousands of thumbtacks by Abyss! In TNA Wrestling under NWA rules, championships change hands if the titleholder is disqualified!

CORNETTE ANNOUNCES THE LAX ARE STRIPPED OF THE NWA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE - EXPECTED TO TURN OVER POSSESSION OF CHAMPIONSHIP ON “iMPACT!” THIS THURSDAY
At Sunday’s “Genesis”, the Latin American Exchange retained the NWA World Tag Team Title against America’s Most Wanted, but Jim Cornette dropped a bombshell on the LAX after the match! According to the management director, due to LAX’s controversial actions involving the American Flag, he has made the decision to strip them of the tag team gold! Cornette left LAX with the announcement that they are expected to appear this Thursday night on “iMPACT!” to turn over the titles!

THE FALLEN ANGEL RETAINS THE X CHAMPIONSHIP – TENSION LATER IN THE NIGHT WITH AJ STYLES
Also on Sunday, “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels retained the X Division Championship against Chris Sabin. Later in the night, Daniels attempted to help AJ Styles in his match against Christian Cage, but it backfired on “The Phenomenal One”. Styles and Daniels ended up getting into a major argument, leading to Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt and Rhino coming out to separate the two! Rhino attempted to diffuse the situation, but Styles walked out, still enraged.

RAVEN RETURNS TO PUNISH JOHNNY DEVINE
It was the Voodoo Kin Mafia defeating Kazarian, Bentley and Devine at Sunday’s “Genesis”, but what happened following the match was particularly bizarre. Kazarian and Bentley returned to the ring with a blindfolded Johnny Devine – leading to the appearance of Raven! While Kazarian and Bentley looked on, Raven assaulted Devine with a kendo stick as punishment for losing the bout! What kind of control does Raven have over Kazarian, Bentley and Devine?
