Talent Announced for Live Wrestling Matches at Fanfest!

For the first time ever, the NWA Wrestling Legends Fanfest will feature live wrestling matches as part of the 3-day weekend festivities August 19-21 in Charlotte, North Carolina. The matches will take place Saturday night, August 20, and will feature a mix of wrestling legends and "future legends."

Those confirmed thus far include the Midnight Express with Jim Cornette, the Rock-n-Roll Express, The Barbarian, Tracy Smothers, Brad Armstrong, America's Most Wanted, current NWA World Tag Team champions The Naturals, Kid Kash, Elix Skipper, Chris Sabin, Petey Williams, Timber, Brad Thomas and Brad Anderson.

There will be more names -- and matchups -- announced as we get closer to fanfest weekend.

Book Your Hotel Rooms Now...Before It's Too Late

The Hilton University Place is the host hotel for the NWA Wrestling Legends Fanfest. The hotel is offering a special room rate of $78 per night for fanfest attendees. The discounted rate is available Wednesday night, August 17 through Tuesday night, August 23 -- a full 7 days -- so if you want to come early or stay late, you may still book at the special rate.

We are quickly approaching the August 4 cut-off date for the hotel's discounted rate. If you plan to be with us in Charlotte, PLEASE make your hotel room reservations asap.

Remember, Charlotte is the heart of stock car country (the hotel is just a couple miles down the road from Lowe's Motor Speedway and dozens of NASCAR race shops in the region,) and home to Paramount's Carowinds (North Carolina's premier theme park and family entertainment destination, including WaterWorks, a 13-acre water park featuring more than nine football fields of winding water slides and gushing playgrounds of overflowing fun,) so why not make it a summer vacation and take in a little bit of everything?

Stan Lane Autograph Signing July 30th in Charlotte...

Sweet Stan Lane of the Midnight Express will be signing autographs and taking pictures with fans at Inside Pitch's Toy, Hobby, Doll, Sportscard & NASCAR collectibles show at the Metrolina Expo Center in Charlotte, NC from 1-4 pm on Saturday, July 30.

Mailorder will be available for folks that can't make it.

Unfortunately, Stan will be unable to attend our NWA Wrestling Legends Fanfest in August due to a prior boat racing commitment, so this will be a great opportunity to still catch up with Stan, get your Midnight Express stuff signed, and get your photo taken with him (for just $5, that's right, only five bucks to get your photo taken with Stan!)

The Metrolina Expo Center is at Interstate 77 and Sunset Road (exit 16A) and the collectibles show is in the main building (building #1.)

If you're unable to attend the July 30th signing, you may order by mail an autographed 8" x 10" photo, hand-signed by Stan Lane. The mailorder price is $10, which includes FREE SHIPPING within the continental United States. You may also send in your own items to be signed. The cost is $10 per signature, plus return shipping.
