Meet Jimmy (Mouth of the South) Hart at 'Ringside Fest'

We're turning back our sundial this weekend (daylight saving time ends) so as not to be late for Sunday's zephyr lessons

And speaking of time, next Saturday (Nov.10, 9a.m.-4p.m.) visit Caroline's at 1626 Broadway (between 49th and 50th Streets) for the "Ringside Fest" and meet Jimmy (The Mouth of the South) Hart, whom my aunts bumped into while trick-or-treating.

He started as a musician with The Gentrys (of "Keep on Dancin'" fame) and later did background music for the WWE.

With the help of Jerry (The King) Lawler, he moved into wrestling, but got his greatest piece of advice from Dick Clark!

"We were on a tour, and during a concert he said, 'if you dress like the audience, pretty soon you'll be sitting with the audience!'"

So with that sage advice Jimmy became one of wrestling's most colorful and flamboyant characters, managing more Hall of Famers than Joe Torre.

And his greatest ring moment? "Probably being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame."

After his induction in 2005, Hart rejoined the WWE.

"I work behind the scenes," he said. "Helping with the Make a Wish Foundation, coordinating visits to our troops in Iraq (his son's with the 82nd Airborne), promoting (WrestleMania) 24 and things like that."

But what if Vince McMahon asked him to groom a youngster for stardom?

"I love the fans and excitement," he continued. "So I'd dust off my bullhorn and put on my jacket in a heartbeat!"
