Today F.Y.E. (For Your Entertainment) in Jersey Gardens Mall held a signing with WWE Tag Team Champions, Jimmy and Jey Uso. Fans were given a wristband if they purchase the Elimination Chamber 2014 DVD which entitled them to a spot on line to meet The Usos and get autographs. The event was coordinated by Erin from Cinedigm who also offered free Daniel Bryan foam fingers as an incentive if you bought 2 WWE branded DVDs.
I arrived around 930 which was a half hour before the store opened and was tenth in line. The event was supposed to be from 11-1. FYE had a nice selection of WWE merchandise right up front so it was easy to make your choices and then pay and get your wristband. The employee who was working the cash register said he had never seen a line that long or that early not even during the holidays so I guess The Usos are popular. Once we made our purchases they had us line back up outside the store.
Mall security moved the line from along the windows to the other side of the walkway and everyone complied and it was not that big a deal. The Usos were about 30 minutes late due to traffic and by that time there were approximately 150 or so people in line. Security began letting people into the store in groups of 10 and the line seemed to move rather well. Jimmy and Jey were very friendly and shook my hand before signing my Wrestlemania program and the WWE autograph mat they supply at these appearances. When I thanked them for their autographs they thanked me for coming.
They had their tag team championship belts with them which I'm sorry I didn't ask if I could hold one in the photo op. All in all it was a positive experience. My friend got there late and said they had left early because the line had died out but he was able to still get a signed autograph mat as they had signed extras which I thought was great.
