WSU Champion Angel Orsini told WSUWrestling.com that she wants the most grueling schedule ever to prove that she's the best womens wrestler today. Angel is hellbent on proving that her WSU Championship is the most important championship today and plans on defending it whenever she can. Angel Orsini has signed on for a bunch of title defenses before the 10/10 and 10/11 events. If she loses the championship at any of these shows, as the WSU championship has changed several times at other events, whoever the champion may be will defend the WSU championship on both the 10/10 and 10/11 events.

Two potential WSU championship matches have been announced for the 10/10 & 10/11 weekend. Angel Orsini will defend against former tag partner & current rival, MERCEDES MARTINEZ! If Angel loses the belt before 10/10, Mercedes Martinez has waived her right to a title rematch if Angel loses the belt, as she wants revenge on Angel Orsini. If this indeed remains a title match, whoever walks out champion will defend the championship on 10/11, facing the winner of the first ever WSU Battle Royal that night!

With that said our main event has been signed for 10/10. As we now have:

WSU Championship Match
(c) Angel Orsini vs Mercedes Martinez III

This match should be a classic, as the first two matches these two have had have been phenomenal. Now, with Mercedes looking for revenge & with Angel looking to remain one step ahead of her old protege, everything will come full force on 10/10!

LITTLE JEANNE DEBUTS FOR WSU
WSU is proud to announce that long time veteran, Little Jeanne, will come to WSU. This news does not greet everyone well, as some wrestlers on the WSU roster feel that Jeanne is trying to take their roster spots away from them. One person has complained about WSU signing the fan-favorite Little Jeanne and on 10/10 that person plans on challenging Jeanne. Jeanne has been nothing but humble and respectful to WSU and says she's really looking forward to returning to the squared circle for her loyal fans.

This will be Jeanne's first match back in the Tri-State area in years, as Jeanne recently became a mother. This is Jeanne's comeback match. However, not every story has a Cinderella ending. Will Jeanne be able to shake off ring rust? Will her concerns for her newborn child affect her training? Or, will we see one of the best wrestlers out there today continue her rise? We'll find out on 10/10!

Also appearing that night:
The Return of Former WSU Champion "Tammy" Sunny Sytch, Little Jeanne, Annie Social, Roxxie Cotton, Rick Cataldo, Reyna Fire, Soul Sister Jana, Melissa Coates, Trixie Lynn, Missy Hyatt & More!!!

Then on 10/11, WSU will crown the first ever WSU Tag Team Champions! Seven teams have entered the eight team tournament. The tournament of eight teams will be consisted of single round eliminations, meaning to win the tournament, you will have to win three matches. One first round match has been announced as you will see below. Here is the info on those teams:

MISSY SAMPSON & "PRYMETYME AMY LEE" w/ALERE LITTLE FEATHER- Missy Sampson & Amy Lee have a storied history in WSU together, as the two have teamed up in the past to fight the likes of Mercedes Martinez & Angel Orsini. It was Amy Lee who helped bring Missy Sampson out of her referee role in WSU into full-time active competition. In recent times, Amy Lee has embarked in a feud with Awesome Kong, which has produced two insane matches. While Amy Lee has challenged for the WSU championship in the past, she's still never tasted gold in WSU. Meanwhile, after Amy Lee took on a grueling singles schedule, Missy Sampson teamed up with long time friend Alere Little Feather, as Team Wigwam. Unfortunately, due to the severe attack by Kacee Carlisle & Kylie Pierce at the last WSU event, Alere Little Feather will be unable to wrestle. However, Alere will show her support to two of her closest friends in WSU, Missy Sampson & Alere Little Feather. Could a possible "Freebird" rule for the tag team titles take effect if Amy & Missy are able to win three matches to become WSU Tag Team Champions? One thing is for sure, when Amy & Missy are in the ring, be prepared for pure chaos & anarchy!

THE SOUL SISTERS (JANA & LATASHA)- Jana & Latasha, known as the Soul Sisters, have been part of WSU from day one and have been one of the top teams for the past 18 months. However in recent times, the two have looked not to be on the same page. With Latasha being absent for a while, Jana got a taste of singles success. Jana even pushed WSU champion Angel Orsini to the limit. However, now with a common goal and a prize to win- tag team gold, will the Soul Sisters be more united than ever or will this once solid bond continue to unravel? When on, no one is more charismatic or exciting than the Soul Sisters!

THE BEATDOWN BETTIES (Roxxie Cotton & Annie Social) w/Rick Cataldo- The Beatdown Betties never had a win in the 18 month history of WSU until June 21st, when Roxxie & Rick Cataldo were able to win two tag team matches. Are they now the team to beat? Confidence is at an all time high for the Beatdown Betties, but one must not forget their less than stellar win-loss record, which is available for viewing at the WSUWrestling.com website. In fact, Annie Social has never even won a match in WSU! Will that all change on 10/11? While Annie isn't as obnoxious or irritating as Cataldo or Cotton, Annie seems to tolerate her running mates. One would have to think that this partnership may not be working out for Annie. Then again, with Rick Cataldo in their corner, perhaps they could do the unthinkable- become the first ever WSU Tag Team Champions!

MERCEDES MARTINEZ & REYNA FIRE- Reyna Fire, the protege & student of Mercedes Martinez, has had alot of trouble with Angel Orsini in recent months. In an upcoming exclusive WSUWrestling.com video, Angel Orsini laid out and destroyed Reyna Fire, leaving her injured and unable to compete for a while. However, Reyna will be ready by the huge 10/10 & 10/11 weekend, as she seeks revenge with her mentor, Mercedes Martinez. Martinez & Orsini have had one hell of a ride in WSU. It was revealed all the way back on 9/22/07 that Martinez & Orsini laid out Luna Vachon and would stop at nothing to prove their dominance. As time went on, Martinez turned over a new leaf, while Orsini felt frustration. After a crippling loss to Lacey Von Erich on 3/8/08, Orsini rededicated herself and trained like never before, just waiting for opportunity. Opportunity came at the WSU J-Cup on 3/22/08, but opportunity also presented itself to Mercedes Martinez, who defeated Orsini in the finals of the tournament. However, Orsini made her move on 5/31/08 when she was a surprise wrestler for then WSU champion Nikki Roxx, winning the belt in the process. On 6/21, Orsini was forced to wrestle Martinez, as Martinez earned a WSU title shot by winning the J-Cup. After a wild brawl & destruction, Orsini feigned an injury. When Martinez stopped the physicality to check on her long life friend, Orsini doped her and quickly small packaged Martinez for the win. The friendship and bond is over and this new feud in WSU looks only to heat up. Martinez & Fire will have a chance to get revenge on Orsini on 10/11, as we introduce the next team in the tournament:

WSU CHAMPION ANGEL ORSINI & MYSTERY TAG TEAM PARTNER- Angel Orsini has entered the WSU Tag Team Tournament. Orsini told WSUWrestling.com that she wants to become the first female in wrestling to win two different championships in the same company. Can this feat happen? Orsini originally wanted to enter the tournament by herself, but she was told she had to have a partner. Orsini said she will find a partner on 10/11 and together, become the first ever WSU Tag Team Champions. It certainly would add a lot of stress and activity to Orsini's schedule, but it is one she has asked for. When Martinez heard that Orsini has entered the tournament, Martinez pled with WSU to book Martinez/Fire vs Orsini and whoever she wants to bring in the first round. After polling the fans, WSU has found out that the fans want to see the match, so in the interest of the fans, WSU is proud to announce that Angel Orsini & her partner will take on Martinez & Fire in Round One of the tournament!

BREAKING NEWS: Angel Orsini has told WSUWrestling.com that since she has to defend the belt against Mercedes Martinez on 10/10 that there is no way she should be forced to have to wrestle Mercedes again on 10/11, just because Mercedes asked for it. Angel has threatened WSU with a lawsuit for making her work in what she calls an "unsuitable, unfair & dangerous" environment, as she feels two matches with Mercedes Martinez on back-to-back nights will jeopardize her chances at gold. Angel said clearly that she's not afraid of Martinez, but knows the pain her body will take in a match with her and feels that if she has to wrestle Mercedes twice, she will lose her WSU Championship and shot at the WSU Tag Belts. We'll have more on this story shortly, but Angel should worry about even making it to 10/11 as champion before anything else!

MELISSA COATES & TRIXIE LYNN- The two newcomers to WSU will team up, in the interest of getting their name out there and winning the WSU Tag Team Titles. Melissa Coates & Trixie Lynn both debuted during the 8/22 and 8/23 weekend. Coates looked mighty impressive, destroying men wrestlers, as well as Autumn Breeze. Lynn showed off her superior athletic ability & sound ground game in matches against Roxxie Cotton & Dawn Marie. While these are two new faces to WSU, both wrestlers are looking for full-time spots and by winning the tournament, they will cement themselves into the WSU record books forever. Two fan favorites, Coates & Lynn could be the darkhorse team to win this tournament!

BOBCAT & GORGEOUS GEORGE- That's right, BOBCAT finally comes to WSU. This long time veteran has signed a multi-show deal with WSU, as WSU continues to bring in some of the biggest & top names in womens wrestling. Bobcat's skills speak for themselves and she has had success against some of the WSU wrestlers in other promotions. A former WWF hardcore champion, Bobcat looks to win WSU gold on her first night in, with one of her best friends in wrestling - Gorgeous George. While George is not known for her wrestling, George told WSUWrestling.com that she was very impressed with the athletes & personalities in WSU and wants to make WSU her new home. George will be training with Bobcat for this tournament, as George wants to prove that she's more than just a pretty face. This seems to be the odd pairing in the tournament, but anything can happen in WSU and perhaps we're talking about the new WSU Tag Team Champions here!

There is one more spot in this tournament. Several teams have inquired about entering, and WSU wants to provide the best teams possible in this tournament. Some of the names who have asked about this tournament are Lea Morrison, Kacee Carlisle, Kylie Pierce, Autumn Breeze & other wrestlers who have appeared on WSU events. One huge name has been negotiating with WSU and that is Malia Hosaka. Unfortunately, we can not confirm Malia for this show just yet. However if Malia Hosaka is available, we will announce her as soon as possible for this event! In WSU there are always surprises, and you never know who you will show up unannounced!

WSU WRESTLER UPDATES
As mentioned previously, Alere Little Feather will be at the tag team tournament, in a manager role. WSUWrestling.com caught up with Alere Little Feather, and here is the latest on her injury:
"I'm having some problems with the rehabilitation of my neck injury, so it looks like I will be out a bit longer than I expected (wrestling-wise). I am working with my DR closely and as soon as I know more, I will let WSU know. There will also be updates on my website www.AlereLF.com & my myspace www.myspace.com/TomahawkChop. I am looking forward to seeing everyone on 10/11. "

Another WSU star, Cindy Rogers, is also injured and unable to compete. However, Cindy Rogers will be appearing on a special episode of Missy Hyatt's "MISSY's MANOR" on 10/11. WSUWrestling.com also caught up with Cindy Rogers. Rogers told WSUWrestling.com that "I'm out of my brace for my clavical (collarbone) about two weeks now, but I can't start physical therapy for my shoulder yet because I still have the blood clot in my left arm. I'll be on the blood thinners until January. Right now my treatment has been slow going because the blood clot doesn't want to leave me. I'm on the highest dose of the blood thinner medication, but I have stopped taking the Lovenox shots to the stomach thankfully. They stopped them because they were not working the way they were supposed to, I ended up taking 25 shots instead of the 6-7 that is normally the number to take before the pills take over. It leaves me winded a little easier and less energy a lot, but i'm getting there slowly but surely."
Rogers, known for doing her talking in the ring, is quite the unusual guest for Missy's Manor, so it should be exciting to see what Cindy has to say.

Becky Bayless has been quite the character in WSU. Bayless, who has been with WSU from day one, has had a lot of in & out of the ring problems lately. From swerving everyone with her partnership with Alicia, to feuding with the likes of Missy Hyatt, Tammy "Sunny" Sytch & Dawn Marie, Bayless has been quite the little hellcat.

Bayless recently missed her scheduled 8/22 & 8/23 bookings with WSU due to a very much publicized DWI arrest. Making matters worse for Bayless, her father was recently hospitalized. Bayless told WSUWrestling.com that she can not commit right now to any future shows, WSU or other indy events, until she gets her personal life organized. Bayless & WSU have an open ended offer. If Bayless can make the event, she told WSU that she will be there to address everyone about her recent situation. However, Bayless right now can not commit to the event & WSU is not in the practice of false advertising, so as of right now Bayless will not be at the events.

Alexa Thatcher, who has gone MIA, missing her 6/21 scheduled booking is still "retired" from wrestling. WSUWrestling.com was told that Alexa has no interest in pro wrestling right now. For the fans who have emailed in, the door remains open for Alexa to return although nothing is announced or in the works yet.

More WSU 10/11 News
If this isn't enough for 10/11, WSU has announced the first ever WSU Battle Royal for the second taping. WSU had previously done a Royal Rumble type match, called the Uncensored Rumble. However on 10/11, this match will pit all the wrestlers in the ring at the same time, with the winner getting a WSU Championship match immediately after the match. The entrants of the battle royal will be everyone on the show, sans obviously the WSU Champion. Also, this match will be taking place before the finals of the tag team tournament, so whatever two teams get to the finals of the tournament will also not be in this match. However with 8 teams, in the tournament, that leaves 12 guaranteed spots in this Battle Royal, plus whoever may be in the house that night! With WSU, you never know who will show up looking for opportunity & gold!

Angel Orsini News
Angel Orsini has signed a contract with WSU for the WSU Champion to defend the championship at the following events:
9/13 for FTW
9/20 for JAPW
10/4 for NWS

As mentioned previously, if Angel Orsini retains her championship at all events, Orsini will face the winner of the Battle Royal on 10/11. As stated in the contract of all her challengers, if Angel is to lose the championship, the new champion will honor all of Angel's title defenses. Furthermore, if Angel loses the championship, she has a rematch clause which she can exercise at any time, at any show.

To clarify, the 10/10 event will be ran in conjunction with NWS. WSU & NWS have a great relationship and plan to host more shows together. For questions about that event, please contact [email protected].  To order tickets, please call 732 888 1704. All tickets are $15 when you pre-order and mention that you are there to see WSU.

The 10/11 tag team tournament double DVD taping event is a sole WSU venture. All tickets for this huge night of wrestling are $10. To order tickets for what will be a historic night for womens wrestling, please paypal $10 to [email protected]
