Here are some of the highlights from Tiffany's interview on the show, provided by The Mayhem's host, John "The Big Mosh" Masiulionis & show correspondent, Dan Krigbaum:
============================
Tiffany was welcomed by Mosh, Blade, & DFL just hours after her elimination from the program. Her initial reactions were quite candid to say the least: "I was so bummed...I was having a great time." Despite being "the first to go," Tiffany feels very honored to have been a part of Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling. She describes herself as a "wrestling fan," and that she actually learned so much competing on the show. Tiffany said the main reason she pursued "Celebrity Championship Wrestling" was because she was a huge Hulk Hogan fan, like many current superstars/fans of yesterday & today. She knew that it was going to be hard work, but she wanted to pursue being a "heel." Based on all of this, she feels very strongly that she had some fun in the process.
Just like the other celebrities being on the show, Tiffany has had her own personal/professional critics for over 20 years now...added in with the "armchair quarterback" wrestling fans/pundits -- who feel she belongs nowhere near a wrestling ring? Tiffany agreed with Mosh, saying that there are plenty of those who thought they would never see her as part of this project. She said that despite her not knowing "a lot of the terminology," she does indeed watch wrestling, and that she welcomed the opportunity of having the chance of "selling" her own character/persona -- which she defined as "an art." Plain & simple, she wanted to come in as aggressive as possible, especially since she feels she is "a tomboy at heart." This was a chance for her to shed the good girl layers & "be herself in a funny way."
The Mayhem Crew asked Tiffany who she got to bond with the most during her time on the show, out of the cast, trainers, & judges. Tiffany said that she (and others) did not know who else was on the show until the first day of taping, so it was a surprise to see some of the people that ended up on the show. She then said that while she was there, everybody enjoyed getting to work with each other, although attitudes will start to fly in the coming weeks on the show. She also added that she liked getting to work with Todd Bridges & Erin Murphy, and got to talk to them on the few "off moments" during the filming.
Mosh then alluded to the MNM/Eric Bischoff interview from a few weeks back where he mentioned one of the goals of CCW, in that they are trying to cater to both wrestling fans & reality show fans. On that note & as a follow-up, Mosh then asked Tiffany, from her time on the show & seeing the first episode on TV, if she believes that goal was reached. Tiffany said that she thinks it did accomplish that goal, saying it's a "good blend" for both. She then mentioned that the reality shows she has been on have all had some sort of physical attachment to them, which she can handle more than being in a "room full of drama," like some other reality shows. Tiffany then said she was worried that the show might go too much in one direction, either towards more reality/drama or more wrestling, but there was a little bit of both.
Blade went on to ask Tiffany about the drama & "storyline development" that went along with the show, and how the cast helped to make it happen. Tiffany said that the entire cast came in with a great attitude, and wanting to jump right in & portray their respective characters, which she said all did well at doing. "Everyone came in with a good heart & wanted to do their best...They really wanted to shine." She added that everybody wanted to impress the judges...and not be the one that the judges were laughing at.
After being able to get involved, take bumps, & learn the ropes a little on her time on the show, Mosh asked Tiffany what she would now say to those individuals who claim that "wrestling is fake." Tiffany said that she does not think it is fake at all, and calls it "a form of art." She said that there is always a risk & chance at injury, and you really have to listen & learn how to do it properly. She said that while they were out in front of the crowd, with the adrenaline rush, at some points it seemed like things were going too fast & needed to be slowed down to do it right. Tiffany then said that the personalities might portray it as being "fake," but "that's just showmanship -- and once you're in the ring, it's on."
The Mayhem then asked Tiffany to compare & contrast her fans to wrestling fans in general. She started off by saying that her fans are diverse from Playboy fans, to the ones that followed her singing career, to her hardcore fans, all of which have let her "have fun" with her career. She mentioned that her song "I Think We're Alone Now" has taken a life of it's own, and she now has 18-year-olds coming to the show who know nothing about her early career, but love the song & come to the concert. She added that singing that song "never gets old."
Last month, Mosh & Blade were joined by the cast of the hit VH-1 reality series, "Brooke Knows Best" (Glenn Douglas Packard, Ashley Menendez, & Brooke Hogan). A clip was played from some of Brooke's on-air comments, saying she could "totally lay the smackdown on Tiffany" in a wrestling match. Tiffany's thoughts on this Mayhem on-air challenge (of sorts)? She said that she wouldn't doubt that Brooke could possibly give her a "smackin down," as she is the daughter of "The Hulkster." She mentioned that she has not heard any of Brooke's music yet, but she would like to hear it. "Brooke vs Tiffany" -- coming to a weekday evening Hollywood show near you? A "tongue-in-cheek" reference, or a feud in the making? You make the call fans!
With regards to a possible return appearance on "Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling," Tiffany said that there "maybe," but would not say for sure. She added that the show is great, attitudes will start to fly, & some people will unexpectedly surprise the viewing audience with some of their actions. She said that while she was eliminated early, she still kept in contact with the others, who spent a lot of time in pain from the work between the ropes. They joke with her, saying she made it out better than they did.
Mosh asked Tiffany if she would agree to terms if something were to come out of the WWE and/or TNA for a possible role. Tiffany said that it is something she would be interested in, and she would take more time off of her music career to give it a shot if it was worth it. Tiffany mentioned that she just recently moved to Nashville, TN, and was surrounded by boxes (which she was going to be unpacking in the coming days), followed by work on a new album in the weeks ahead.
In closing, Tiffany told The Mayhem's worldwide listening audience that they will have a blast watching the rest of the season of "Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling."
