SACRIFICE PPV August 14th….

We open up with a recap from last week and then go live to the arena as Mike Tenay and Don West welcome us to Impact!

Three Way Dance
Primetime Elix Skipper vs. Shark Boy vs. Sonjay Dutt

The music of Primetime Elix Skipper hit in the arena as he made his way to the ring for a three way X Division Match squaring off with Shark Boy and Sonjay Dutt. Skipper kicked Sharky in the gut and then grappled with Dutt sending him to the outside. Sharky hit a jawbreaker on Skipper and then sent Dutt to the apron. Dutt hit a springboard moonsault on Skipper but Skipper caught him and then Sharky rolled Skipper up for two. Sharky went for the Dead Sea Drop on Dutt but Skipper broke it and sent Sharky outside with a spin kick. Skipper hotshotted Sharky on the ropes but then Sharky got a rollup for two and Dutt broke it with a dropkick from the ropes. Skipper hit a butterfly suplex on Dutt and then unloaded with some uppercuts. Dutt gave Skipper a huricanarana to the outside and then Sharky knocked Dutt out. Sharky hit a slingshot over the ropes but Skipper caught him and dropped him over the rail. Skipper kicked Dutt hard in the back on the outside and then tossed him back in. Skipper sent Sharky into the ring post and then tossed him inside too. Dutt hit a springboard dropkick to send Skipper to the floor and then Sonjay jit a floatover reverse DDT on Sharky for the win.
Winner - Sonjay Dutt

Backstage:
Backstage and we see Larry Zbyszko talking to BG James. Zbyszko said James has been causing a lot of problems. James said he is not the instigator, he is the victim in the middle. Zbyszko said he has a lot of referees who think they are stuck in the middle. Zbyszko said he has a solution and hands James a referee shirt, and he will be the special referee at Sacrifice. Zbyszko told him if he doesn't accept the job, he can keep the shirt for his new job at the Footlocker.

Super X Cup Tournament Match
Alex Shelley vs. Shocker

The music of Alex Shelley hit in the arena as he made his way down to the ring in a first round Super X Tournament Match where he will face Shocker. Shelley and Shocker locked up and Shocker took Shelley down to the mat. Shelley came back with a hammerlock but Shocker then arm dragged him the outside. Another lock up and Shelley grabbed a side headlock but Shocker hit an arm drag and then Shelley hit one of his own and we get a stand off. They shoved each other and then slapped each other. Shocker hit a right hand sending Shelley to the floor as we go to commercial. Back on Impact, and Shocker hit a shoulder block and then an arm drag following by a DDT. Shocker hit a springboard dropkick and then a twisting elbow drop for two. Shelley gave Shocker a hotshot on the ropes and then a back elbow to knock Shocker outside. Shelley hit a suicide dive through the ropes onto Shocker and then gave him some right hands. Shelley tossed Shocker back in but Shocker nailed him with some right hands and then suplexed him in. Shelley floated over and hit a drop toe hold but Shocker got a nice roll up for two. Shocker hit a tilt a whirl backbreaker and then a big boot before heading up top. Shocker hit the frog splash from the top for a near fall. Shelley came back with an awesome roll up to get the pin, which is Shocker's own move. Alex Shelley advances in the tournament.

Backstage:
James Mitchell is with Abyss backstage. He said TNA officials are up in arms after what Abyss did last week. He said when looking for a World Title, the wrestlers are told to wait in line. He said Abyss doesn't like to wait, and how does one control someone like Abyss. You don't. According to the laws of natural selection, there are prey and predators. Everyone is prey to Abyss. He said they have nothing against Lance Hoyt, but he was in the wrong place and the wrong time. He said he won't be the last, as Abyss will rebuild TNA in the image of his rage. When the dust has settled, Abyss will once again display his dominance over TNA.

Cassidy Riley vs. Mikey Batts
The music of Cassidy Riley hit in the arena, as he made his way to the ring with a Raven shirt on, and he will be facing Mikey Batts. Riley say down in the corner, acting like Raven. The two slapped each other and Batts went to work with shots to the back. Riley came back with right hands and then hit a clothesline. Riley hit a knee lift and then did the Raven pose. Rhino then hit the ring and gored Batts and then Riley.
Winner - No Contest

The Aftermath:
Jarrett got on the mic and Rhino gave Batts a Rhino Driver. The music of NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Raven then hit. Raven said those two have decided that they can eradicate Raven from wrestling by putting him in a tag team situation, since Raven has no friends. Raven said it's amazing what you will find after 17 years of giving your heart and soul to the sport. He said when you have no friends, an emeny will do. The lights then went out in the arena and Sabu was in the ring! Sabu threw chairs at both Rhino and Jarrett and then hit the triple jump moonsault on Rhino. Sabu is back in TNA!

Matt Bentley vs. James Storm
The music of Matt Bentley hit in the arena as he made his way to the ring with Traci Brooks, and he is set to face the man who cost him his Super X Cup Match last week, one half of America's Most Wanted, James Storm, who was accompanied by Chris Harris. Storm went after Bentley, but Bentley bailed to the outside. Storm chased him around the ring and then Bentley attacked him upon re-entry. Bentley choked Storm with his boot in the corner and then Storm tossed Bentley to the outside. Storm chopped Bentley and then crotched Bentley on the guard rail. Storm tossed Bentley back inside, but then Bentley knocked Storm off the apon and hit a double axe handle on the outside. Bentley rammed Storm into the ring apron and then whipped him into the ring post. Bentley tossed Storm back inside and covered for two. Bentley slammed Storm and hit a knee drop for another two before locking in a rear naked choke. Storm fought out but then ran into a knee to the gut for two. Bentley perched Storm on the top rope and hit a superplex for two and then locked in a rear chin lock. Bentley pulled Storm down by the hair and covered for two and then choked him over the middle rope. Traci then choked Storm while Bentley distracted the referee. Storm came back with an inside cradle for two but then Bentley hit a clothesline for another near fall. Storm hit some shots to the gut but Bentley raked the eyes and locked in a side headlock. Storm fought up and went for the superkick but Bentley blocked. Bentley then went for one but Storm blocked and then Bentley hit a powerslam. Bentley put Storm up top and went for a superplex but Storm knocked him down and hit an inverted DDT from the top for the win.

Backstage:
Shane Douglas is backstage with AJ Styles, and he will find out who his opponent is in the next round of the Super X Cup tonight. People say that the X Divison made AJ Styles, but maybe it was AJ Styles who made the X Divison. Chris Sabin, Petey Williams, great wrestlers, and the winner of that match will find out why they call him Phenomenal.

Super X Cup Tournament Match
Petey Williams vs. Chris Sabin

The music of Team Canada hit in the arena as Petey Williams made his way to the ring with A1, and he will be facing Chris Sabin in this final first round match of the Super X Cup Tournament. X Division Champion, Christopher Daniels, joined Tenay and West at the booth. Sabin and Williams locked up and Sabin grabbed a side headlock. Williams came back with an arm drag and then Sabin hit one of his own and then nailed Williams with a right hand. The two men caught each others leg and then had a stand off as we went to commercial. Back on Impact and Williams is in control with a waist lock. Sabin elbowed out and hit a bulldog for two. Sabin hit a dropkick to the back of Williams for another two count and then hit some forearm shots to the head. Sabin backdropped Williams to the apron and then went for a sunset flip powerbomb. A1 then got involved allowing Williams to hit a tornado DDT off the apron to the floor. Williams tossed Sabin back inside and covered for two and then hit a dropkick to the back followed by a choke over the middle rope. Williams distracted the referee and A1 choked Sabin. Williams went to work with chops in the corner and then Sabin came back with chops of his own but Williams raked the eyes. Williams locked in a rear chin lock and then drove his knee into the back of Sabin for two. Sabin came back with shots to the mid section but then Williams knocked him down with a back elbow for two. Williams hit a slam and then a quick leg drop for a near fall. Sabin hit some elbows to the gut but then Williams tossed him under the bottom rope to the floord, and A1 unloaded with stomps while Williams distracted the referee. Back inside, and Williams drove his knees into the face of Sabin for two. Williams hung Sabin in the tree of woe and then but then Sabin tossed Williams outside. Sabin hit a suicide dive through the ropes onto Williams and both men are down. Sabin hit an inverted atomic drop and the a jaw breaker and dropkick. Sabin hit a boot in the corner and then a running powerbomb for a near fall. Williams came back with a Northern Lights throw and then went for the Canadian Destroyer but Sabin countered. Williams then locked in the sharpshooter but Sabin made the ropes. Williams went up top and came off with a crrosbody but Sabin caught him and hit a modified backbreaker and then an exploder suplex for two. Sabin hit the running enziguri and then hit the Cradle Shock but A1 distracted the referee. Williams grabbed the hockey stick and nailed Sabin with it, and then hit the Canadian Destroyer for the win. Petey Williams advances.
