TOY FAIR RECAP, BOBBY HEENAN, JIMMY HART AND MORE...
Thanks to my photographer who braves all kinds of weather for special shows, I am able to bring you this report. BTW, we have received at least 18 inches of snow already. There were only about 60 people in attendance, I'm sure it was due to the blizzard.
The exclusive figures were Bobby Heenan in a weasel suit and Jimmy Hart in the black jacket. (Both of which I will be putting on eBay tomorrow.) Bobby Heenan signed his exclusive figures, but Jimmy Hart was stuck in Memphis and didn't make it to the Toy Fair.
The exclusives are only 1 of 100. Neither figure will be produced beyond today's giveaway.
I see on eBay there are only two available at this time of autographed Bobby Heenan, one is at $405 and the other is asking for $500-.
Many of the newer figures were on display for the first time, which included Bruno Sammartino, Sabu, Hulk Hogan with Freddie Blassie, The Boogeyman, Kid Kash, Dean Malenko Rocky Maivia, Harley Race, Dusty Rhodes, Lashley, Ken Kennedy and more... I'd like to note that Bruno Sammartino is the only figure with chest hair.
Jeremy Padawer of JAKKS Pacific announced that Slick, Al Snow and Droz have come to terms for the WWE Classic Superstars line. They have also come to terms with Bobby Eaton and they have Cornette and Lane signed, so look for the Midnight Express set to be made available.
JAKKS is also in negotations with The Warrior for 3 or 4 more figures.
There will be a whole new Rocky action figure line, no not Maivia. Over the course of the run 40 to 50 figures will be available. Hulk Hogan as Thunderlips will be included and Mr. T as Clubber Lang from Rocky III. They will be featuring all six Rocky films.
During the Q & A with Heenan, he mentioned calling both Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle after WrestleMania last year, to tell them both that was the best match he has ever seen.
